YMCA organizations typically offer discounts for low income individuals and families. If you qualify for Indiana food stamps, then you may qualify for a discounted YMCA membership! Contact your local YMCA for details.

There are two programs that offer discounted admission in Indiana.

Museums For All museums offer admission for $3 or less per person. It is important to realize that the museums with green titles are Museums for All participants. These venues accept EBT cards from all 50 states, so you don’t have to be a Indiana resident to get these great deals!

The Access Pass program provides $2 admission per person, per visit to 23 cultural attractions, historic sites, and museums in Indiana. To qualify, you must have a valid photo ID and be enrolled in Hoosier Healthwise (Medicaid), SNAP (food stamps), and/or TANF.

It is also critical to remember that you cannot pay for admission with your EBT card. You will show the EBT card to receive the discount but you will need to pay the remaining admission price, if any, in cash or with a credit/debit card.

Auburn

Auburn Cord Duesenburg Automobile Museum  – FREE

Up to four people can visit the Museum for FREE with an EBT card! The Auburn Cord Duesenburg Automobile museum offers over 120 cars over three levels. There are nine automotive-themed galleries to explore!

Batesville

Kids Discovery Factory  – $3 or less per person

The Kids Discovery Factory is developing an interactive learning space for children in downtown Batesville.

Bloomington

Wonderlab – $2 per person

Explore and discover at over 65 hands-on, interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits! The exhibits are both educational and fun. Find out what fun things are happening at the Wonderlab by clicking here.

This Access partner offers $2 admission for 2 adults and all dependent children in your family.

Columbus

kidscommons – $3 per person

The Columbus Community Children’s Museum, also known as kidscommons, offers a discounted rate of $3 per person for up to four guests with an EBT card. They even offer discounts on special events!

Columbia City

Whitley County Historical Museum – FREE

The Whitley County Historical Museum is located inside the historic home of Thomas Riley Marshall, who once served as Indiana Governor and 28th Vice President of the United States. The museum showcases his life and the history of Whitley County. The museum includes the Marshall House, an Annex and an Outhouse. According to their Facebook page, they may also be adding a log cabin in the future.

Evansville

Children’s Museum of Evansville – $1 per person

Over 18,000 square feet of exhibits sprawl across three floors. You’ll never run out of things to do! Browse the map and see all the adventure that awaits you by clicking here. Up to 4 people can get the low admission fee of just $1 per person, when showing your Indiana food stamps card.

Fishers

Conner Prairie Interactive History Park – $2 per person

Science, art and nature collide at Conner Park’s “acres and acres of interactive awesomeness.” There is something for everyone all year long! Conner Prairie is an Access partner.

Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne History Center – $3 or less per person

The Fort Wayne History Center features both a museum and collections from around the Allen County – Fort Wayne area. There are more than 26,000 artifacts available here, including a blacksmith shop!

Fort Wayne Museum of Art – $3 per person

For just $3 per person, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art invites you to explore their various exhibits and features.  You can view their both the current and upcoming exhibitions at this link.

Parking in the Arts United parking lot is free unless a performance or event is scheduled at the Arts United Center. Parking is $3 during both performances and events.

Indianapolis

Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – $2 per person

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis provides discounted admission to families who qualify for the access program. On the negative side, this does not include admission to special exhibits, events, carousel rides or the annual Haunted House. However, Access Admission recipients do receive $2 admission, free parking, a 10% discount in the food court and a discounted price for Starpoint Summer Camp. Eiteljorg Museum – $2 per person

The Eiteljorg Museum emphasizes an appreciation of the art, history and cultures of the American West and the indigenous peoples of north America. The Eiteljorg is only one of two museums east of the Mississippi that focus on both Native America and the American West.

Explore the museum for just $2 per person through the Access program. You can also have your parking validated by the museum.

Indiana Historical Society – $2 per person

As Indiana’s Storyteller since 1830, the Indiana Historical Society shares the state’s history through a premier research collection, archives and the ultimate Indiana Experience. This museum is an Access partner.

Indiana State Museum & Historical Sites – $2 per person

This world-class museum offers hands-on experiences for both children and adults. Explore the Museum and the historical sites for just $2 per person. It is important to realize that IMAX Theater tickets are not included in the $2 admission price.

Indianapolis Museum of Art – $2 per person

For 132 years, the IMA has encouraged Indiana residents to engage with both art and nature through breathtaking exhibits. It is one of the 10 oldest art museums in the country. This museum is an Access partner. Free parking!

NCAA Hall of Champions – $2 per person

At this time, the Hall of Champions offers two floors of fun family-friendly exhibits including all 24 NCAA sports, a trivia challenge, current team rankings, video highlights, artifacts, sports simulators, a retro gym, a ski simulator and more. As an Access partner, you can access the Hall for just $1.

Michigan City

Lubeznik Center for the Arts – FREE

The Lubeznik Center is always free to the public. However, we have included them in our list because they have joined Museums for All.

Muncie

Minnetrista – $5 per family per YEAR!

Minnetrista means “a gathering place by the water.” Located on the same site as the original F. C. Ball home, Minnetrista serves as a gathering place with programming, workshops, exhibits and more. In addition to a 10,000 square foot collection, Minnestrista also showcases themed gardens and natural areas. Minnetrista is a Museums for All member, so they accept EBT cards from all states.

For just $5 per family per year, you can receive the following:

  • Unlimited free gallery admissions for your entire household for an entire year
  • Discounts on ticketed programs, workshops, camps, special events and Orchard Shop purchases
  • Invitations to special member-only events
  • FREE reciprocal admission to 350 science centers and museums that are Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) members,, the nearly 300 public gardens that are American Horticulture Society (AHS) members and over 750 arts and cultural museums that are North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) members.

South Bend

Children’s Museum of South Bend – $3 or less per person

The Children’s Museum of South Bend is a Museums for All participant! As such, up to four people can visit per EBT card for just $3 or less.

The History Museum in South Bend is a Museums for All participant! As such, up to four people can visit per EBT card for just $3 or less.

The Studebaker National Museum – FREE

The Studebaker National Museum welcomes visitors with EBT during all normal operating hours. The museum is dedicated to showcasing the design, innovation of the automotive and industrial history. They obviously focus on Studebaker vehicles, along with other related industrial artifacts. Among their treasures, you’ll find the same carriage Abraham Lincoln used to get to Ford’s Theatre on the night of his assassination and the same carriage used by Marquis de Lafayette on his farewell tour.

Terre Haute

CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center – $3 or less per person

CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Terre Haute is dedicated to illuminating the harrowing stories of the Holocaust, including the experiences of Eva Kor, the Mengele twins, and other survivors. It stands as a symbol of empowerment, fostering a culture of healing, respect, and responsibility by sharing these poignant narratives with the world.

Swope Art Museum – FREE

The will of Sheldon Swope, a Terre Haute jeweler, set money aside for art that would be “…displayed publicly and free of charge to all residents of Terre Haute and Vigo County, Indiana, forever.” Thus, the Swope Art Museum was created.

Terra Haute Children’s Museum – $2 per person

Now that Terra Haute offers this discount, you can explore this three-story children’s museum for just $2 per person! This museum is tons of fun for little ones.

Free two-hour parking is available on the street. A parking garage offers additional parking for $1 per hour or $6 per day.

Wabash

Wabash County Historical Museum – $3 or less per person

The Wabash County Historical Museum tries to avoid being a “graveyard for old stuff,” as they put it. They have state-of-the-art exhibits to showcase the history of this unique county. They have many fun and interactive exhibits!

This museum now also offers a FREE Family Access Membership for Wabash County residents who may not be able to afford an annual membership or daily ticket fees.  Apply online!

Whiting

Mascot Hall of Fame – $3 per person

Up to four people can get admission for $3 each, to the Mascot Hall of Fame.  Celebrating the mascots who are the “unsung heroes of sports,” MHOF incorporates fun, STEAM activities, and lots of exploration.
