You may be able to skip the deposit! The $265 deposit can be a serious problem for low income customers who need to establish service with the City of Mesa. Fortunately, you can skip the deposit entirely if you have had a previous service with Mesa in the last 24 months, paid late twice or less in the last 12 months or have not been disconnected in the last 12 months.

Select your own due date! To help ensure that you are able to make your payments on time, City of Mesa electric allows residential customers who are current on their bills to select a due date that best coincides with their paydays.

Enroll in budget billing and avoid seasonally high bills! Residential customers can enroll in this program, which averages your annual use into twelve equal payments. The payments will be adjusted periodically if there is a significant change in your energy use.

Request payment arrangements with this convenient online form! The City of Mesa has a convenient online form that allows you to request payment arrangements on your current balance. However, you must submit this request before the “last date to pay” listed on your disconnection notice!

Save money on your City of Mesa electric bill!

Sign up for the City of Mesa’s Summer Electric Assistance (SEA) program! During July, August and September, customers who participate in SEA will not have to pay the monthly service charge or the usage charge for the first 80 kilowatt hours used. Mesa Community Action Network Inc. offers a Low Income Energy Conservation Program that can provide free energy audit,s conservation education and comprehensive weatherization services to help you increase the energy efficiency of your home. These free services can help you save a lot of money on your power bill!

Arizona Community Action Association provides a Home Energy Assistance Fund for low-income Arizona families. You must meet certain income limits to receive funding from this program. There are several locations in the Mesa area that can assist you. Click here for a list.
