50+ Incredible Scholarships for Single Moms

50+ Incredible Scholarships for Single Moms

Scholarships for single moms are uniquely designed to help single moms overcome the challenges that they face when going back to school. Some of the scholarships we’ve found are exclusively for moms, but many welcome all single parents to apply.

If you don’t think you can find the time or money to go back to school, you’re not alone. Nearly 10 million American households are led by single moms – and that’s why we’ve worked so hard to come up with a list of real, legitimate scholarships for single moms.

Of course, many of these scholarships welcome all single parents to apply. If you’re a single dad, many resources on this list will apply to you also!

Now, I know there are tons of lists out there like this. However, I wanted to create my own because there are so many sketchy, unusable, suspicious websites that provide this information. A lot of pages that advertise scholarships for single moms look like spam and scam sites! They have odd-placed advertisements, deceptive links and can be confusing to use.

Our goal at Low Income Relief is to present information that is 100% accurate, in the cleanest and easiest-to-use format. Everything in our list has been fact-checked and verified, so you don’t have to worry!

Apply for ALL the scholarships for single moms! The excess may be paid to you in cash!

That’s right, guys! Our college writer Amelia wrote an excellent article about how she gets cash back from her scholarships. She makes a lot of money this way, so be sure to check out that post!

Schools are not obligated to disburse the excess. Sometimes, they may opt to return the extra to the organization that disbursed it. However, it is our understanding that it is rare for the school to refuse to disburse those funds directly to you.

Wait – – what is a nontraditional student?

When you’re looking for scholarships for single moms, keep an eye out for the phrase “nontraditional student.” This phrase usually refers to students that are over the age of 24. However, it also refers to students that are financially independent from their parents, maintaining full-time enrollment, caring for dependents, GED recipients, and more. Single parents are also considered nontraditional students.
