Looking to save money on your Centralia City Light bill? As you know, Centralia City Light is a small-town energy provider that serves Centralia, Washington. We’ve found ways that you can save money on your bills from this small-town provider!
Centralia City Light offers discounts for low income seniors and disabled persons.
Both low income seniors and disabled individuals can have the standard customer charge removed from their bill! In 2018, that charge is either $24.39 per month inside city limits or $26.79 outside city limits. The household income limit for this program is $30,000 per year or less. You’ll also need to be able to prove that you are at least 62 years old or disabled. You can also receive this discount on Centralia’s sewer and water services!
You can get rebates and other benefits, too!
Like most providers, Centralia City Light offers rebates for EnergyStar certified appliances and ductless heat pumps. These rebates can put money back in your pocket when you make upgrades!
If you are dependent on electricity for medical reasons, you can submit a “Special Considerations Request” form. While this will not stop your account from being shut off due to non-payment, it will ensure that the city contacts you during scheduled power interruptions.
You can get help with your Centralia City Light bill!
Although Centralia City Light doesn’t offer as many options as other providers, the customer service representative I spoke with did say that there are many different agencies (including the Community Action Council) that can assist with power bill payments.
The Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties provides some incredible energy assistance programs. They can help you apply for LIHEAP, which can provide an annual payment toward your energy expenses. They can also help you apply for weatherization services, which provide free energy-efficiency upgrades to your home. This services can help you save a lot of money on your power bills!
