If you receive child support in Washington State, you receive the benefits on a Bank of America child support debit card… and that card can get you FREE admission into some of Washington’s coolest museums!
Many of us have a Bank of America bank card sitting in our wallets. What you probably did not know is that your card gives you FREE access to local museums. What is even better is that parents who have a Bank of America child support debit card can also benefit from this program!
Bank of America’s “Museums on Us” program offers one free general admission ticket to the cardholder on the first full weekend of every month. You can find a list of participating museums here. All you need to do is bring your card and your ID to access this benefit! Of course, there are ways to bring your children for free as well!
Children may qualify for free admission!
There are museums that offer free admission for children under a specific age. For example at the Bellevue Arts Museum, children 6 and under are always FREE. As long as the children visiting with you qualify for free admission, you should all be able to enter for free!
Here is a list of the participating museums in WA and their ages for free admission for children:
- Seattle Arts Museum – Children 12 and under are FREE!
- Bellevue Arts Museum – Children 6 and under are FREE!
- Northwest African American Museum – Children 5 and under are FREE!
- Tacoma Art Museum – Children 5 and under are FREE!
- Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture – Children 5 and under are FREE!
- Wing Luke Museum – Children 4 and under are FREE!
Child/Family Free Admission Days –
There are even museums that offer FREE entrance for the entire family on specific dates! For example, the Seattle Asian Art Museum* offers free entrance for families the first Saturday of the month from 10am-5pm. This program is offered to all Bank of America card holders in the United States. Not all states offer their child support debits cards through BoA, so I suggest checking your card for the logo.
States I know do offer Bank of America child support cards are:
- Arizona
- Massachusetts
- Nevada
- Washington
