Free Toys For Christmas In Kitsap County, WA

Kitsap Community Resource Center has the Christmas Angel program that solicits donations from community members in the form of monetary donations, toys, clothing, and other much needed items. These gifts are then given to low-income children in the area to spread love, kindness, a sense of community, and, most of all, hope. They offer presents whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or even Kwanzaa.

North Mason Lions Club offers their North Mason Giving Tree  program during the holiday season. To avoid a strain on the system, they welcome only residents of the North Mason School District area to apply. People who qualify and have children between 0 and 14 years or age can get help with free Holiday toys and clothing items. Those with children aged 15 to 18 can register those children at the All Teens Matter program for Christmas gifts during the holidays.

Salvation Army hosts the Angel Tree program each year to help low-income families in need. Angel Trees are set up at participating businesses in the area and have the names and Christmas lists of families in need on it. The Kitsap County, WA location is at 832 6th Street, Bremerton, WA 98337.

Toys For Tots provides Christmas gifts for thousands of children across the United States, including Washington State. They serve low-income, or working poor community members in Kitsap County through donation boxes and Toy Drives. You can apply online for toys and Christmas items for your kids from ages 0-17. 

Registration is from 8 am October 10, 2022 to 5 pm December 9, 2022, and the toy drive with be held inside the Presidents Hall. This year, masks will be encouraged, but not required. It is rumored that Santa may stop by this year for some fun.

Get Free Food In Kitsap County, WA

South Kitsap Helpline is a food bank that serves the local community in Kitsap, WA on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm (last appointment time at 4:45 pm). If the times don’t work for you, you can call them at 360-876-4089 or email them. Each household can get two food baskets every month. Families who financially qualify can get up to three baskets a week of meat, non-perishable food, bread, pastries, and frozen goods, as well as toiletries, hygiene products, pet food, and baby items. These services continue during the holidays as well. 

Bremerton Foodline is an organization that provides emergency food assistance to Kitsap, WA families in need. They have a Commodity Supplemental Food Program as well. Families can receive emergency food that can help them maintain a healthy diet for at least three to four days. The amount of food each family unit is given depends on the family’s size, as well as the amount of items available at the facility at the time. 

During the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays, special holiday baskets are provided, which are stuffed with holiday food items for the big day. If you are a new client, make sure to bring a picture ID and proof of your current address, which can be a utility bill or even a medical coupon. 

Salvation Army provides a holiday meal on the big day of Christmas and Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving there is a meal served during the day.
