Toys for Tots
The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program collects toys during October, November, and December from individuals who decided to donate toys to the less fortunate. The program places boxes at local stores that sell toys. If you’re the kind individual that has chosen to purchase a toy for a needy child, you will put the toy in the box once you have paid for it. The toys than are collected from volunteers during the collection period. The final step is in December when the toys are given to needy children that deserves to have a joyous Christmas.
The program is to help our soldiers’ to provide a gift for their children and families while they are serving the country. Most military veterans live on a tighter budget than most people realize. A soldier has enough to worry about serving the country and should never have to feel like they can’t get something special for their child during the holiday season. The program provides the world with a chance to give back to those who have given so much up for this country.

Blue Ridge provides nutritious food for the less fortunate all year round. The holiday season is no different; they bring in extra donations so they can offer a holiday box for those families who need food to prepare for the holiday.
Hyland Heights Baptist Church
The church provides food for families once a month to help supplement their food supply.
