Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington, hosts their annual Christmas Project Adopt-A-Family for low-income families who struggle during the holidays. Families who register with this program receive several toys for each of their children, warm clothing for the entire family, food for a holiday dinner, and other small gifts.

Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighters in Lexington, hosts their annual Firefighters Toy Fund to collect toys for children of low-income families that struggle during the holidays. Registered families receive several new, unopened toys for each of their children, donated by community members and organizations. Families must register for the program.

Salvation Army in Lexington, invites disadvantaged families to apply for their Food Angel and Adopt-A-Family program during the holidays. With their Food Angel program families receive a gift card that they can use to purchase a holiday meal at any local grocery store.
