We’ve found free scrubs and more stuff for nurses, doctors and other health care professionals during the coronavirus pandemic! Since our incredible health care workers are on the frontlines of this crisis, it is only natural that companies and people have stepped forward to support our health care workers.

Free Stuff for Nurses, Etc.

We have found a lot of free stuff, so we’ve done our best to divide it into easy-to-skim categories like “free lodging” and “free food.” Enjoy!

Free Lodging

Airbnb

Airbnb is offering free or subsidized housing to health care professionals, relief workers and first responders so that they can stay closer to their jobs. Their hope is to house 100,000 workers across the world.

Choice Hotels

The Choice Cares discount rate is available to doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, food and agriculture workers, mass transit employees and others who have been designated as Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers by the Department of Homeland Security.

Four Seasons Hotel

The Four Seasons Hotel on 57th Street in New York City has free lodging for doctors, nurses and medical personnel.

Hilton Hotels

Hilton and American Express have joined up to offer one million hotel stays to eligible frontline medical professionals. This offer lasts until the end of May.

Nurses, doctors, EMTs, paramedics and other frontline personnel can use these stays to sleep, recharge or isolate from their families. Hilton brand hotels, including Hampton, Hilton Garden, DoubleTree and others, are participating in this program.

Marriott Hotels

The Rooms for Responders program provides free rooms in some of the hardest-hit areas. This program is providing $10 million worth of hotel stays for health care professionals in New York City, New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Los Vegas, Washington DC and Newark.

Clearly, hotel stays are one of the most common types of free stuff for nurses that we’ve found. However, if you can’t find any free stays in your area, Marriot is also offering steep discounts to health care workers in other areas through the Community Caregiver Program. This is designed to help health care professionals stay closer to the hotels they are working at.

OYO Hotels & Homes

Doctors, nurses and other first responders can get free accommodations at any OYO Hotel in the United States during the pandemic. The company is offering these rooms so that medical staff can sleep, shower, or simply recharge.

Red Roof Inn

Until May 31st, Red Roof Inn is donating a certain amount of rooms to first responders.

RV Share

Medical volunteers and other medical professionals may be eligible for a free RV rental through RV Share’s disaster relief program.

Free Essential Services

AT&T

As announced on Some Good News, AT&T is offering free wireless service for nurses and physicians nationwide for three months. If you don’t have AT&T and sign up with a new account, you can also get a $200 activation credit.

Incredible Health

For those who need to fulfill state-mandated continuing education requirements, Incredible Health is offering free premium online courses. Nurses will receive their certificate immediately upon completion.

Mazda

Health care workers can receive free standard oil changes and enhanced cleaning services at participating dealerships. This is NOT limited to Mazda owners, either! It is available for most makes and models from other manufacturers.

Nurse’s House

This agency provides short-term grants to nurses who are unable to work due to a medical crisis. The funds they provide can be used to pay for rent, mortgages, medical expenses or other needs.

They also have a special grant program for nurses who have been infected with COVID-19, are caring for an infected family member, or under an employer-mandated quarantine.

Free Food

&pizza

This East Coast restaurant chain is offering free pizza for hospital workers. You will need to present a valid ID or contact the chain directly.

Chick-Fil-A

Certain Chick-Fil-A locations are offering free stuff for nurses in the form of a free Original Chicken Sandwich or free 8-count nuggets. This offer is available to health care workers, emergency personnel and law enforcement. However, this is limited by location. Contact your local Chick-Fil-A to see if they participate.

Circle K

Circle K is offering free coffee, fountain drinks and teas for health care workers and first responders until the end of April.

Cumberland Farms

All health care workers, first responders and military personnel can receive a free coffee per visit. The coffee can be any size, hot or iced.

Delta Sonic

Delta Sonic welcomes all doctors, nurses, EMTs, fire fighters and police offers with a valid ID to eat free. They have locations in New York and Illinois.

Krispy Kreme

Medical employees can show their employee badge at Krispy Kreme on Mondays to claim a free dozen Original Glazed donuts! This offer lasts until May 11.

Little Caesars

Little Caesars is donating a million pizzas to health care workers and first responders, beginning on April 13th.

McDonalds

McDonalds franchises in certain locations are offering free breakfasts to health care workers and first responders with a valid ID or uniform. The breakfast includes a small coffee and an Egg McMuffin.

It appears that this offer is only offered in Southern California at this time, although some have reported that it is available elsewhere. Contact your local McDonalds to confirm.

Nando’s Peri-Peri Chicken

Nando’s brings catered meals to hospitals near their locations once per day. They will also provide free meals to anyone with a valid hospital ID. The free meal includes 1/4 chicken with chips.

This company has locations in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Illinois. This offer is valid through May 3rd.

Pizza vs Pandemic

This organization solicits donations and uses those donations to bring pizza to care centers in need. You can nominate a hospital, clinic, shelter or other care center to receive free pizza here.

RaceTrac

Pick up a free small coffee and fountain drink at RaceTrac locations across the South.

RealGood Foods

Real Good Foods is sending care packages to those on the front lines. Each package includes a variety of products. Request a care package or send one to someone else here.

Saffron Road

This company is offering a coupon for a free meal or snack to those who are on the frontlines during this pandemic.

Starbucks

Starbucks is offering a free tall hot or iced coffee to all health care workers and first responders through May 3, 2020.

Steak n Shake

Steak n Shake is offering a free order of fries through the “We’re All Essential” program. No purchase is necessary.

SweetGreen

Sweetgreen delivers free salads and bowls to hospitals for health care workers. They have locations in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington DC.

Troipcal Smoothie Cafe

Tropical Smoothie Cafe has announced that they will be donating 100,000 smoothies to health care workers and first responders. Each franchise is expected to give away 100 smoothies.

Uber Eats

Uber Eats is providing a certain number of free meals on Uber Eats to first responders and health care workers. In order to receive a free meal, your organization will need to reach out to [email protected] for details.

Wawa

Wawa is offering free coffee to health care workers and first responders.

White Castle

White Castle has a coupon on their website for a free Castle Combo #1-6 or any breakfast combo. This coupon can only be used by health care workers or EMTs and is valid until April 30th.

Free Stuff for Nurses & Health Care Professionals

Allbirds

A free pair of Tuke Matcha Wool Runners is being offered by Allbirds. You can email [email protected] to get yours.

Car Washes

Several car wash companies across the US have offered free car washes to medical professionals.

Care.com

You can receive a free month of premium access to Care.com if you are a healthcare worker. This service helps coordinate care for children, elderly parents and even pets.

ChiliPAD

New and certified refurbished chiliPADs are available for health care workers and first responders. These are limited to single-zone systems. There is a limit of $1,000 worth of product and shipping per individual. The offer is only valid through April 30th, so act fast! Sign up here.

Crocs

Crocs is donating free pairs of Crocs to health care workers! To claim your pair, you will need to visit the Crocs website at 12pm ET to hop in line. Once they have given away their limit for the day, they cannot accept any more entries.

Dearfoams

Health care workers can claim a free pair of slippers from Dearfoams! They have temporarily reached their limit but may make more available soon. Check here for updates.

Dr. Scholl’s

Dr. Scholl’s is offering free massaging gel work insoles, which have been proven to reduce muscle fatigue and reduce shock. Hospitals must request the insoles on behalf of their staff. Instructions can be found here.

FitCrunch

FitCrunch is sending care packages with food bars, antibacterial wipes and uplifting notes. You can nominate a health care worker here.

Glowforge

Glowforge is a 3D printing service. They are offering to make free Ear Savers for nurses and health care workers. These devices take pressure off the ears and can even be used to help misfitting masks fit better.

This offer is also available to retail workers, deliver workers, doctors, sanitation workers and anyone who is wearing a mask to take care of others during the crisis.

Jins Eyewear

Jins Eyewear is offering free glasses to those on the front lines, including nurses, doctors and other health care workers. You can email them to request a free pair for yourself or for someone else.

Mattress Firm

Mattress Firm is distributing 1,000 free pillows every day through April 15th. They are also giving away one free Sleepy Doze Mattress every day through April 20th.

Pronovias

This is easily one of my favorite things I’ve found while researching free stuff for nurses. Pronovias is offering free wedding dresses to hospital-employed brides-to-be. The Heroes Collection will be available at flagship stores until August 31, 2020.

Speeko

Speeko is an iOS app that helps teach effective communication skills. They are providing a free subscription to health care workers. Sign up here.

Tide

Tide is offering free laundry services and dry cleaning to the immediate households of frontline responders. This offer stands until May 9, 2020. Details here.

Universal Standard

Health care workers can get a free piece of clothing from Universal Standard’s Foundation line of soft teeshirts, bodysuits and tanks.

Scrubs, Masks & Other Gear

Many companies are offering free scrubs for healthcare workers.

Barco is offering 10,000 scrubs per month. Here’s how to request a donation.

Careismatic Brands is offering Cherokee and Dickies scrubs. Here’s how to request them.

Decor8 Interiors is offering one free mask per health care worker. These appear to be washable cotton masks. Request one here.

FIGS is donating 30,000 scrubs over the next two months. Your hospital can request a donation here.

MaskMatch is helping health care workers in need of masks get masks from the people who have them. Check their website for details.

Free Health Services

Coaches 4 Good

This service is providing free 30 minute professional life coaching services to health care workers, as well as small business owners, education employees and nonprofit leaders.

Down Dog

All of their apps, including Down Dog, Yoga for Beginners, HIIT, Barre and 7 Minute Workout, are free for health care professionals during the pandemic. The free access will continue until July 1st. Sign up here.

Headspace

HeadSpace is offering free access to their libraries that usually offer a paid subscription! If you are a health care worker, you can access those meditations for free.

Neurocore Counseling

You can access free telehealth counseling from Neurocore until May 1st, 2020, if you are a health care worker or first responder in the United States.

Free Transportation

Bikeshares

Many bike share programs are offering free memberships to essential health care workers.

BP/Amoco Gas Stations

BP and Amoco will give you a 50 cent discount at the pump for nurses, first responders, doctors and hospital workers. You will need to verify your status on ID.me before you can receive the discount code.

Delta

Medical volunteers who are travelling to specific areas can book free flights on Delta. The flights can be booked up to three days before you leave. Details here.

Hertz Cars

Hertz is offering a free rental car for an entire month to health care workers in New York City.

Lyft

Lyft is offering free 30 minute Lyft Scooter rides to first responders, health care professionals and transit workers. These rides can be redeemed through the end of April in Austin, Denver, Los Angeles, DC, San Diego and Santa Monica.

Spin Scooters

Spin is offering free 30-minute scooter rides and helmets to frontline health care workers through April 30th. Eligible employees include nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and aides. The offer can be redeemed in Baltimore, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, Tampa and Washington DC. You will need to apply at least 24-48 hours before you take your first ride.

Uber

Uber has offered free transportation for health care workers. This includes transportation to health care facilities and patient’s homes.

Clove is offering free compression socks with every purchase. They are a healthcare apparel company. Use code WITHLOVE to claim your free socks.

Dollar General

Dollar General has a 10% discount for all medical personnel, first responders and activated National Guard.

Gabe’s

Gabe’s Stores have a 15% employee discount for medical professionals, first responders, police, fire and military personnel.

Ghengis Grill

You can get 20% off your carryout orders from Ghengis Grill with a medical badge or ID card.

Home Chef

Home Chef is a meal box company that gives you the ingredients you need to make great meals at home. Nurses, doctors, hospital employees, first responders, military members and teachers can receive 50% off the first purchase and an ongoing 10% on later purchases. The deal is only valid for new customers.

Love Sac

Love Sac is offering 40% off Sacs and Sectionals for nurses, doctors, first responders, military members and teachers. The discount lasts through May.

Purple

Other Benefits

Costco

Skip to the front of the line if you are a health care worker or first responder! If you show your Costco membership card and official ID, you will be allowed to move to the front of any line to enter the warehouse.

Sam’s Club

Sam’s Club will begin hosting Hero Hours on April 19th. On Sundays between 8am and 10pm, health care workers and first responders will have exclusive access to the warehouse. No membership is required to shop during those hours.
