John P. Hall Children’s Charities Christmas Party This year, the John P. Hall Children’s Charities will be celebrating their 34th annual Christmas Party for the underprivileged children of Clay County. This event is probably one of the most well-known events in the Clay County area.

At the party, each child will receive three new toys as long as they are less than 15 years of age. In order to really foster the spirit of the holidays, the charities even will have a Santa Claus on hand to help distribute the toys to the children in attendance.

In addition to the three toys that come in a festive Christmas bag, your child will also be able to select one used toy that has been donated by community members. Finally, as a result of a partnership with Orange Park Clothes Closet, clothes for the entire family will be provided, which is sure to help everyone really feel the Christmas spirit. The charity also provides new and gently used toys for children outside of this party, but having the event can really help your children understand the value of Christmas and it can also help them meet some new friends!

Toys for Tots

One of the best features of Toys for Tots is the fact that it’s really very easy to receive a toy from them if you qualify. All a family has to do is select the Request a Toy link on their site, fill out the toy request form, and the charity will send a toy if the family qualifies. In addition, the charity also has a lot of holiday-themed events that are designed to help out families that are struggling during the holiday season.

The Salvation Army of Clay County The Salvation Army has helped millions of families that experienced hardships by providing holiday help. Clay County Food Banks – Green Cove Springs

This food pantry has been serving the people of Clay County since 1989, and in 2015 alone, the pantry served almost 10,000 people in need – many of which were children. This food bank’s goal is to bring Clay County residents “from hunger to hope,” and they aim to do this one hot meal at a time.

Waste Not Want Not

During the holiday season, Waste Not Want Not serves Clay and Duval counties so that children and their families can have a good holiday meal. In addition to these meals, the charity also provides 600 baskets that contain pies, rolls, bread, and of course, gifts for the children during this time of year. This charity depends on donations from all around Florida, and they use a plethora of sources like grocery stores, public donations from private citizens, and bakeries and caterers.
