Christmas Come True offers a Christmas experience for parents of Flagler County who cannot financially afford a traditional Christmas for their children. Families receive new clothing, a stocking filled with goodies and necessities, age appropriate toys, and other gifts for each of their children. Additionally, families will receive a holiday dinner box filled with all the ingredients needed for a traditional holiday meal. To take part in their services, families must have at least one child aged newborn to 16 years old, have a valid form of identification, have social security cards for all members of the household, declare household income and expenses, and have proof of residency in Flagler County. Christmas With A Deputy began in 2008 by former Flagler County sergeant Larry Jones to help bring Christmas to low-income families in Flagler County, Bunnell, Palm Coast, and Flagler Beach. Law enforcement personal choose 100 families to take shopping for Christmas Gifts, toys, food, clothing, and more. To take part in the program, families must reside in their service area, have children aged newborn to 18 years old, and be recommended for the program by a member of the law enforcement personal. Project Share has helped hundreds of low-income families give their children the Christmas they deserve. Through generous donations made by community members and organizations, children receive groceries, new toys, clothing, and used bicycles. To take part in this program, families must reside in Flagler County or Pierson, register for the program at Flagler County School Government Services or Pierson Elementary school, have proof of income and household expenses, have a valid form of identification, and have birth certificates for all children living in the home. Salvation Army brings Christmas to children of low-income families living in Flagler County, aged newborn to 16 years old, through the Angel Tree program. Offering free toys, clothing, gift cards, and other goodies delivered a few days before Christmas. Additionally, they offer free holiday dinner boxes filled with Turkey or ham and all the holiday fixings and nutritious holiday meals at their shelter. The Giving Store opens their Giving Store. The Giving Store allows children from kindergarten to 5th grade to pick out free gifts for members of their household, allowing siblings to pick gifts for each other and their parents. To take part in this program, families must register each child at the Flagler County government services building on Hwy 100.
Toys For Tots holds annual toy drives every year to collect toys for children of low-income families. These new, unopened toys get delivered to children about one week before Christmas. To take part in their services, applicants must register each child using the request toys link on their website. Grace Community Food Pantry invites low-income families living in Flagler County to their pantry. Families might be able to get holiday food close to Christmas and Thanksgiving.
St. Thomas Episcopal Church invites all low-income families to their establishment during the holidays to receive a free holiday food basket. Each basket has ham or turkey and all the traditional sides. In addition, they offer training and employment opportunities and temporary relief for rent or utilities.
