To take part in their services, applicants must have at least one child living in their home full-time between the ages of newborn to 12 years old, have birth certificates for all eligible children, show proof of current address for all members of the family, have a valid form of identification and a photo ID for all adults in the home, and meet their income requirements.
Shelby Baptist Church offers a Christmas Gift Shop filled with new and gently used toys provided by community members and organizations. Parents of low-income families visit the store to get toys for their children and gifts for the entire family. Toys For Tots receives new, unopened toys from community members and organization to help low-income families put presents under their tree during the holiday season. Montgomery Area Food Bank invites anyone that’s in need of food to their establishment. They serve families of every size living in 35 counties throughout Alabama using their mobile food pantry. The mobile food pantry delivers 7 tons of food to communities that have no other resources available to them, giving 75 to 100 lbs of food to each family. To take part, applicants must live in one of the counties they serve, have a valid form of identification, and meet their income requirements based off the Federal Poverty Line.
