American Legion Post 6 in Deland offers assistance to veterans, their families, and their children during the holiday season. On Christmas, they invite everyone in need to their Christmas party where they enjoy festive food, small gifts, and the opportunity to get a scholarship. Families must register for the Christmas party in advance for consideration.

Christmas Come True in Bunnell offers seasonal assistance to underprivileged families living in Volusia and Flagler County. Their assistance comes in the form of gifts for children aged newborn to 18 years old. Each registered child receives new clothing, a Christmas stocking filled with goodies and necessities, age-appropriate toys, and a new coat.

Early Learning Coalition Of Flagler and Volusia in Daytona, Deland, Deltona, and Flagler, offers several programs to underprivileged families. During the holidays, they offer holiday dinner baskets filled with turkey or ham and all the trimmings for a traditional holiday meal. Additionally, they offer toys, clothing, and small gifts for families with children aged newborn to 17 years old.

Gifts Of Love Food Bank in Edgewater offers holiday assistance to underprivileged families living in New Smyrna Beach, Oak Hill, and Edgewater.

Nathaniel’s Hope Toy Shop in Orlando provides over 5,000 underprivileged children in Volusia County with toys during the holiday season. At this time, they only provide toys to families who have a member that suffers from an illness or disability.

Salvation Army in Daytona hosts the Angel Tree program every year to bring presents to underprivileged children aged newborn to 13 years old. Families receive a variety of age appropriate toys, clothing, shoes, and other small gifts, donated by community members and the organization. Additionally, they offer holiday dinner baskets filled with all the trimmings for a traditional holiday meal and a soup kitchen that serves hot holiday meals on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Toys For Tots in Daytona Beach gathers toys from community members and organizations to give children of underprivileged families toys during the holiday season. Registered families receive toys on December 16th during their pre-determined appointment. To receive toys, families must register their children aged newborn to 13 years old with the program using the request toys link on their website.

Volusia County Christmas Wishes in Deland provides Christmas assistance to underprivileged families living in East Volusia County. Sponsored by the Italian American Club of Greater Daytona, community members and organizations donate new toys, games, books, and more to help brighten the holidays for the less fortunate.

Barnabas Episcopal Church in DeLand operates the Faith At Work mission for underprivileged families in need throughout Volusia County. With this mission, they provide families with holiday dinner baskets, toys for children, clothing, and other small gifts. Additionally, they offer emergency financial assistance, transportation assistance, and counseling services.

Jewish Federation Volusia in Ormond Beach offers underprivileged Jewish families in Volusia and Flagler County their Jerry Doliner Food Bank. Families may visit the food bank by appointment only. In addition, they also offer holiday dinner baskets when available to those who struggle during the holidays.

Shay, Hello, I am a new resident to FL. Recently had my rent/bill money stolen out of my Car at work, and have been Struggling to make ends meet.. I am reaching out in hopes of finding any Christmas Donations that may still be available for my kids (b/13 & g/11) I tried reaching out to Salvation Army but I beleive I have missed the deadline. Please if you can contact me with any help/suggestions, i would greatly appreciate it

Adam, I'm so sorry to hear about that. If you have you tried all of the Christmas resources listed in your state and then county with no success, you could try 211.org for more resources in your area. Also, check here to see if you can save on your power bill. I hope this helps. -Riley
