How can we help you?
Low Income Relief has helped countless people get help in Indiana!
Throughout the government shutdown, LIR informed me when my food stamps would be available to me. Being a single mother, that helps a lot. It also gave me the info about how to get help with my power that kept it on through the bad winter months.
LIR has been a true blessing to my family. They helped us when we had no one else to help. I had lost my job, I was pregnant, and my husband was also out of work at the time. They guided me in the right direction so I could keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.
I just got the internet assistance. So far it’s working and I am paying about $50 less a month now!!
How does Low Income Relief help in Indiana?
A recent study revealed that nearly a million Indiana residents live in poverty. Over 14% of children in the state are in families with incomes below the poverty line (which, for this study, was defined as $25,926 per year for a four-person family).
Basically, Indiana scores poorly in gender wage gaps, higher education attainment, teen births, hunger and food insecurity, health insurance coverage and unemployment. Indiana also has a high rate of children in foster care.
For years, Low Income Relief has helped low income people across Indiana connect with resources, benefits and programs around the state that can help alleviate the strain of poverty. We’ve discovered that too many people just don’t know what’s out there to help them.
That’s why we’re here. We created this information service to help low income people connect with resources, benefits and programs that can help lift them out of poverty. After all, the programs are out there. They just aren’t always easy to find.
Over the years, we have helped millions of people save money, get free stuff and make ends meet.
In this directory, you’ll find everything we’ve found that is unique to the state of Indiana. For more assistance that is available nationwide, be sure to check this link as well. If you have any questions, you can chat with Lira now or leave a comment anywhere on our website for more information.
