The Lincoln Public Library is an amazing place. There’s more to offer than books though. A membership at the Lincoln Public Library gets you access to loaner devices, fun events, and FREE admission to some of Rhode Island’s best attractions. Keep reading to discover what the library offers.

Your Lincoln Public Library gets you great perks at fun local attractions. That means discounts and free passes for you! The places you get discounts to include:

The Audubon Society of Rhode Island Environmental Education Center offers year-round education programs on New England wildlife. The Education Center resides on 28 acres of fields and wetland. Your Lincoln Public Library card gets you free admission for two adults and 4 children. You can only use this pass for general admission instead of special events.

The Blackstone Valley Explorer offers riverboat tours of the natural beauty of the Blackstone River. The Explorer’s experienced guides offer insight into the natural and historic high points of the river. Your library card is good for free admission for 2 adults as well as 2 children.

Blithewold Mansion, Garden and Arboretum is a historic summer estate. Spread across 33 acres, Blithewold offers a look into the lives of well-to-do 19th century Rhode Islanders. Your library card entitles you to up to six discounted tickets. Adult tickets are $7 while child tickets are $2.

The EcoTarium is one of Massachusetts’ top museums. The highlights of the EcoTarium include a working scale model steam engine and a planetarium. You can get a 50% discount for up to 2 adults and 2 children with your library card.

The Isabella Stewart Garden Museum is located in the former home of a well-known art collector. The museum offers a wide array of classic artwork. However, it is best known for being the location of the largest art heist in history. Your library card is good for 4 visitors Tuesday through Friday as well as 2 visitors on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Each ticket is $5.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston hosts near 450,000 individual works of art. In fact, it is the fifth largest art museum in the United States. You can see the entire collection for $10 per person with your library card. The discount is only valid for up to 4 people.

The Museum of Science, Boston offers multiple science exhibits, an indoor zoo, and the only domed IMAX theatre in New England. Furthermore, the museum offers Lincoln Public Library members up to four tickets at only $10 each.

The Mystic Aquarium is one of New England’s top attractions. The Aquarium also offers the only beluga whale exhibit in New England, however. With your library pass you can get $5 off up to 4 tickets.

The Providence Children’s Museum in Providence, Rhode Island is focused on providing a fun place to learn for children of all ages. The museum has lots of exhibits including a large water table exhibit that is great for splashing around. With your library card you can get 50% off up to 4 tickets.

The Rhode Island Historical Society is dedicated to sharing the history of Rhode Island. They offer historical exhibits as well as genealogical documentation to members. With your library card you can get free admission for up to 4 people. You are also eligible for discounts on walking tours and the gift shop.

The Rhode Island School of Design Art Museum is one of the 20 largest art museums in America. The museum offers free admission for up to 2 adults and their children. The pass is also good for a 10% discount at the RISD gift shop.

Finally, the Roger Williams Park Zoo is known for its lush green spaces and also as a unique set of animal exhibits. You can get a $3 discount on up to four tickets with your library card.

Check out devices for FREE with your Lincoln Public Library card!

The Lincoln Public Library offers a robust selection of borrowable devices that includes launchpads, Kindles, and mobile hotspots. If you lose the device you must pay the $80 replacement fee. There is also a $15 fee for lost power cords and a $5 fee for missing batteries. Electronic devices are available at the circulation desk from 9:30 A.M. each morning until 1 hour before the library closes each day. You must sign an agreement to pay a penalty for losing the device.

The library offers launchpads that come loaded with a large selection of games and educational apps. You don’t need internet connectivity to use these devices.

Additionally, the Lincoln Public Library Kindle program is open to borrowers age 18 and up. You must also be in good standing. You can check out these devices for a maximum of 3 weeks with no renewals allowed. However,  you’re only allowed to check out one device at a time. The late fee for a Kindle is $2 per day.

Finally, If you are without an internet connection the library has you covered with their loaner mobile hotspots. The hotspot works anywhere you can connect to the T-Mobile network. You can check the devices out for up to 3 weeks on a first-come, first-served basis.
