The Middletown RI Library has partnered with some of the best educational and cultural attractions in New England. To check out a pass, just present your library card to the circulation desk. All passes are first come, first serve and can be checked out for one week at a time. There is no reserving a pass, and a late fee of $5 will be charged for each day the pass isn’t returned on time. The attractions include:
The Audubon Society of Rhode Island operates an education center in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The center is the largest nature center in the state as well as one of the largest in New England. With your library card, you can get free admission for two adults as well as up to four children.
The Blithewold Mansion, Gardens, and Arboretum offers visitors living history of one of the state’s historic homes. Blithewold offers a unique look at historic Rhode Island luxury. With your library card, you can get up to six discounted tickets. Adult tickets are $7, while youth tickets are $2.
The Providence Children’s Museum focuses on entertaining and educating the younger generation. The museum offers hands-on exhibits as well as an underground maze. In addition, you can get half off admission for up to four people with your library card.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston offers one of the most comprehensive art collections in America. With over 450,000 original works, the museum is one of the 5 largest museums in the United States. With your library card you can get two adult tickets for only $10 each.
The Museum of Science, Boston is more than just your average science museum. It offers an Omni theater as well as an indoor zoo. Your library card gets you up to four tickets at $10 each.
The Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, Connecticut is one of the top aquatic destinations in New England. In fact, the aquarium plays host to New England’s only beluga whale exhibit. With your Middleton RI Library card, you can get $5 off up to fourth tickets.
The Mystic Seaport is also known as The Museum of America and the Sea. It is the largest maritime museum in the United States and offers over 60 restored historical buildings. Your library card entitles you to half-off admission for two adults as well as three children.
The New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts has habitats for thousands of aquatic animals. They showcase everything from little blue penguins to the enormous green sea turtle. With a Middleton RI Library card, you can get $10 tickets for up to four people. Please note the pass is not valid in either July or August.
The Rhode Island School of Design Art Museum is located on the RISD campus. Opened in 1877, the RISD Art Museum is one of the 20 largest museums in the country. You can get free admission for two adults and any number of children under 18. Your pass is also worth a 10% discount on programs.
The Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island, is known for their excellent green spaces and wide variety of exotic animals. The zoo offers library members a discount of $3 off up to four tickets. These passes are not valid during the Winter Wonder Days event or during the months of January or February.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at growing fruits or vegetables? The Middletown RI Library has a large community garden space behind the library that is available to members of the community. Members must abide by the rules and complete the indemnification form to participate. In fact, the garden is so popular there is a waitlist to get a plot each year.

The Middletown RI Library has a lot of popular events each week. These include fly tying workshops, family storytime, and the Quilters by the Sea club. One of the most popular events at the library is the 3d design and printing classes. While the library does have 3d printing equipment, you’ll have to attend one of the scheduled events to use it.
