Angel Tree Program

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program gives Christmas gifts to children who come from families suffering from poverty or lower than average income. You probably have seen the angel trees in your local shopping malls and wondered how it works. Well, let me tell you. The Salvation Army places the child’s name and Christmas wish list on the tree that schools, social services, and other agencies have provided. Residents of the community are free to choose any number of children from the tree with no limits. Donations should be taken to the nearest drop off location. The Salvation Army then collects the gifts and ensures that the child who it is intended for will receive their gift before Christmas.

Toys for Tots

The Toys for Tots program places empty boxes in department stores and other organizations during October, November, and December. Then, they pray that the good citizens of the Montgomery County have a passionate heart to purchase toys for the children who deserve a joyous Christmas holiday. The toys are then placed in the box for volunteers to pick up. The program is not possible without the donations and generosity of the local community.

Single mother of 5 boy ages 18,17,17,13 and 3 lost job a month ago. Lost my husband at the end of September in a fire and I have been trying to catch up after all of this but I'm going through what money we have just in keeping us with a home to live in. Any help would be greatly appreciated if there is still time.
