Thank you for all of your informative videos and resources. You are my lifeline, as a senior with disabilities trying to navigate these hard times. Because of your advice I have found many resources by calling the local 211 in South Dakota. I signed up for a Meals on Wheels program through Active Generations when it was clear that my SNAP benefits were about to be cut, and found a Humane Society that has a dog food pantry for my new service dog. You and your team is a blessing, and I just wanted you all to know, that you are appreciated.
Thank you so much for sharing this—it truly means the world to hear how these resources have helped you. We’re honored to be part of your journey, and we’re so glad you’ve been able to find support for both you and your service dog. Your message is a blessing to us, too.
I live in FL and there’s never any info about FL.im assuming that’s because fl doesn’t care.ive called several places to get help after hurricanes due to our fema money being stolen.NOTHING available.Nobody will help because we live in a mobile home. When it collapses on us we will be using anyone that refused to help if were alive.Im on mounjaro and barely eat now so I’m not stressing about food right now.A safe home in Holly hill FL is all I need.None of the programs are here.Gopuff, lasagna love, etc…none of them.
There is NEVER anything on here for any kind of help in Wisconsin. Not talking about 211, talking about YOUR business and youtube and webpage. You claim to have all these great resources, yet I have yet to find any help even one time on here from what you provide. All that does is cause a person false hope.
Hey Emily, I apologize. I am constantly looking for more resources and we have found many things in Wisconsin, but I understand they may not have been useful to you. We’ll keep researching, but in the meantime here’s a list of everything we’ve found in Wisconsin so far.
You never have no holiday resources for Oklahoma city Oklahoma
During a government shutdown, state and local organizations like the Hunger Free Oklahoma can provide assistance for both food needs and Thanksgiving help. Contact 211 or the Hunger Free Oklahoma website to find local food pantries, as federal SNAP funding may be impacted by the shutdown. State and local programs, including potential emergency SNAP provisions like the Disaster SNAP (D-SNAP), can be found through these organizations.
How to get help during a government shutdown
Call 211: This is a great starting point for information on local resources and help available in your area.
Contact local organizations: The Hunger Free Oklahoma website and Facebook page are good resources to find out about local food pantries and other assistance programs.
Check for emergency food programs: In the event of a shutdown, the Oklahoma Human Services will announce details on emergency food assistance programs, such as D-SNAP, if they become available. Check their website for updates.
Visit the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management’s website: This website can provide information and resources related to emergency assistance during a shutdown.
Inquire about D-SNAP: If the government is shut down, you may still be able to apply for disaster-related food assistance programs like D-SNAP through the Oklahoma Human Services. Check their website for information on eligibility and application details.
Contact your local food pantry: Even during a government shutdown, food pantries can provide immediate help. You can find a local food pantry by searching online or by calling 211.
During a government shutdown, Wisconsin’s SNAP (FoodShare) benefits will likely be reduced, and Thanksgiving assistance may be limited, so you should check with local charities and food banks for support. While past shutdowns have shown that initial benefit payments can continue, the ongoing reduction in funding will impact the full allotment of benefits in the current month. Thanksgiving meal programs and local assistance may be the primary source of help for food and holiday assistance.
SNAP (FoodShare)
Benefit Reduction: Due to a lack of federal funding, your SNAP (FoodShare) benefits will be reduced to 50% of the usual allotment for November 2025.
Availability: Although your benefits will be reduced, they should still be available through the usual channels for November 2025.
Thanksgiving assistance
Local charities and food banks: The most reliable source for Thanksgiving help will be local charities and food banks, which may have specific programs for holiday meals and food.
Limited government assistance: While some government-funded holiday programs exist, they may be affected or unavailable during a shutdown.
How to find help: You can find local assistance by searching online for “Thanksgiving meal assistance Wisconsin” or contacting your local food bank directly.
