Charities and Nonprofits
Candy Cane Corner is a program that allows low-income families who participate in YWCA Utah, The Road Home, and Volunteers of America, Utah to choose new holiday gifts for their families. Case managers recommend clients upon request.
Marine Toys for Tots in Salt Lake City offers free toys to disadvantaged children up to age 12, but some locations extend the age limit. They accept requests from individuals, families, and charities. Request a toy online.
Salvation Army Salt Lake City helps people in times of crisis and need. At Christmas, they sponsor Angels Trees for children up to 12 and seniors over 60. They also run an adopt-a-family program and serve Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to the community.
The Giving Grinch helps supply everything from socks, coats, dolls, trucks, as well as a Christmas Dinner to families in need throughout our community.

Crossroads Urban Center, a nonprofit run by United Methodist Women, operates food pantries and a thrift store. The charity also hosts a Holiday Food Giveaway every year.

Operation Christmas Spirit supports military families by matching them with people who want to “adopt” them for the holidays. Gifts include personal wishes and gift cards for doing their own shopping.

Eagle Ranch Ministries offers free meals for Sunday brunch as well as dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
