Hi 👋 I found a male German shepherd in my backyard yesterday ( isn't fenced in) My backyard butts up against an extremely busy road. Called it because I didn't want it getting hit. Tail was wagging...figured it was friendly 😊 Such a sweet dog 🐕!!! Called fire department, police, humane society etc. A police officer told me since April there are numerous strays in this area now. Evidently quite a few illegal Marijuana farms were busted and they abandoned all animals! There doesn't seem to be ANY resources here 😕 I live in Lake Shastina in Northern California. I wouldn't mind keeping him (I'm 67 and need a hip replacement) but can't afford a veterinarian or a groomer to clean him up!!! Any suggestions?
