King’s County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the KCSO SWAT team for “Operation Secret Santa.” They collect new toys and wrapping supplies, then deliver the gift for unsuspecting kids in need. They try to help at least 25 King County families in need every Christmas season. They drive around to the families’ houses, with Santa, who gives them gifts and even some food.
Lemoore Police Department teams up with Lemoore Christmas Aid to host their Present on Patrol event where they buy toys and deliver them to children who need them the most. During the Christmas season of 2021, they were able to help 150 families in Lemoore with toys and clothing items for Christmas.
Salvation Army offers the Angel Tree program for children of low-income families living in Kings County. This program provides children with toys, clothes, shoes, games, and other gifts during the holiday season and a holiday dinner basket filled with all the ingredients needed for a traditional holiday meal. Moreover, this organization provides hot holiday meals at their soup kitchen for families who are in need of a little extra help.
