Beartooth Humane Alliance (Red Lodge)

The Beartooth Humane Alliance works to help the communities of Carbon County and Stillwater County by helping companion pets in need and promoting responsible pet ownership through education. The center focuses on finding solutions to the animal overpopulation as an animal welfare resource center for the community. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Low income pet owners who live in Carbon or Stillwater Counties may be able to get a free spay and neuter voucher from this organization if they meet income limits.

Bitter Root Humane Association (Hamilton)

The Bitter Root Humane Association (BRHA) is made up of a group of local animal lovers, advocates, owners, and volunteers. The association encourages spay and neuter services in an attempt to reduce the overpopulation of unwanted pets as well as promoting longer and healthy lives for all pets.

The community has access to Spay and Neuter Services through grants and special programs, the association may be able to assist with procedure costs with participating veterinarians. Contact BRHA directly to receive current information.

Rimrock Humane Society (Roundup)

The Rimrock Humane Society (RHS) is a local, private, non profit organization supported by community donations as a full service veterinary care center. RHS offers a Community Spay and Neuter Program, known as CSNIP, based on the support of donors and grants from various funds. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Those currently facing financial hardship.

Animal Clinic of Billings (Billings)

The Animal Clinic of Billings is a small veterinary hospital open 7 days a week in order to provide active care to pets.  The hospital offers discounted spay and neuter services for both dogs and cats. Those interested should contact the hospital directly to receive more information and to set up an appointment.

A Home Vet (Billings)

A Home Vet is provides experienced veterinary care with both large and small breed animals with a wealth of knowledge and care. The clinic offers the community Affordable Pet Vaccine Clinics on the second Saturday of every month. The event takes place at the downtown Shiptons location from 10 a.m. to 12 1 p.m. and on following Wednesdays from 5-7pm.

Montana Veterinary Hospital and Boarding (Bozeman, MT)

The Montana Veterinary Hospital and Boarding proudly serves the pet owners of Bozeman for everything pet related. The veterinary team is dedicated to keeping your pet healthy and wants to help low income pet owners afford proper care with necessary resources.

The hospital offers a payment plan that allows pets to receive service as long as the pet owner is able to make a required payment equal to ⅓ of the total bill cost. The remaining balance is then spread out as deemed possible.

Humane Society of Western Montana (Missoula, MT)

The Humane Society of Western Montana is dedicated to saving every animal every time by being a community resource for companion animals and pet owners alike. This location offers walk in microchipping options at a low rate of $20 per pet.

Flathead Animal Clinic (Kalispell, MT)

The Flathead Animal Clinic is a small animal veterinary center that has served the community for many years by providing the best possible care for pets of all ages. The clinic offers a FREE initial exam opportunity for new pet owners. Those interested will need to present an adoption certificate within the designated time frame required by the clinic. The Beartooth Humane Alliance provides a Hay Bank. This program provides free hay to eligible horse owners for up to 30 days. They also donate pet food to local food banks.

Bitter Root Humane Association (Hamilton)

The BRHA offers a Community Pet Food Bank that was established to assist community members with the cost of care for pets. The pet food bank is made available to owners during normal business hours in the lobby of the association. 

Rimrock Humane Society (Roundup)

The Rimrock Humane Society’s outreach program offers a Pet Food Pantry and a Hay Bank to owners who may need assistance due to disaster or other critical matters. Those interested should contact RHS directly for more information.

AniMeals (Missoula)

The AniMeals is a no kill adoption center and food bank dedicated to rescuing, feeding, and healing animals within the community. 

The center provides an Animal Food Bank to assist with the supplemental food needs for homeless animals, homebound and disabled pet owners, as well as caregivers for feral cats and stray dogs. Food distribution is available on Fridays ONLY from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for all.
