The DC Department of Community Development might be able to help if you’re a DC first time home buyer. The program offers CBOs that might make it easier for you to purchase a home. You could use the assistance through the program to help you pay for your down payment. It could help to help make it easier to pay for closing costs. Lenders might have certain requirements to use these assistance options so make sure you always check with your lender!
The Employer Assisted Housing Program could help with up to $10,000 you can use for down payment assistance. There are other requirements you’ll have to meet if your employer has them in place.
The HPAP could help if you’re in need of assistance for closing costs on your home. The program has strict income and residency guidelines you’ll need to meet to get assistance. You may be able to qualify for up to $4,000 if you meet the program requirements.
There are programs available for DC home buyers!
If you qualify for help through the HPAP, you might be able to get up to $80,000 in non-traditional financing.
