Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is one of the most helpful resources we’ve found for Christmas assistance. They provide holiday meals, toys and clothing to low income families. They also have a specific ministry for the families of prisoners. Please visit their website to look for your local Salvation Army chapter. Don’t delay – some of these agencies start registering as early as October.
Toys for Tots
The Marine’s Toys for Tots campaign serves most of the United States. When you visit their official website, you’ll be prompted to enter your state and select your local area. They register early and fill up fast, so don’t hesitate!

Madison County
Christmas Charities Year Round (CCYR) offers a Christmas program that provides gifts and toys to families and seniors in Madison County. Gifts are only provided to Madison County residents who are between the ages of 2-18 or over age 60. In order to apply, a parent or guardian will need to bring ID, the children’s birth certificates, an income statement and a rent/lease agreement to CCYR. Applications typically open in early September and close in November, so please don’t wait to apply!
Shelby County
