No matter where you’re located in this state, there are some agencies that can help you. These agencies may have local branches but they are present throughout the state.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is one of the most helpful resources we’ve found for Christmas assistance. They provide holiday meals, toys and clothing to low income families. They also have a specific ministry for the families of prisoners. Please visit their website to look for your local Salvation Army chapter. Don’t delay – some of these agencies start registering as early as October.

Toys for Tots

The Marine’s Toys for Tots campaign serves most of the United States. When you visit their official website, you’ll be prompted to enter your state and select your local area. They register early and fill up fast, so don’t hesitate!

Jackson County

We’ve found resources throughout Jackson County, Alabama! Whether you live in Scottsboro, Bridgeport, Stevenson, Hollywood or another community in Jackson County, this list includes agencies that can help your family this holiday season.

Madison County

Christmas Charities Year Round (CCYR) offers a Christmas program that provides gifts and toys to families and seniors in Madison County. Gifts are only provided to Madison County residents who are between the ages of 2-18 or over age 60. In order to apply, a parent or guardian will need to bring ID, the children’s birth certificates, an income statement and a rent/lease agreement to CCYR. Applications typically open in early September and close in November, so please don’t wait to apply!

Mobile County

First Baptist Tillman’s Corner in Mobile offers a Christmas Store. Applications for this program open in October of each year.

Shelby County

Our Shelby County resource list helps residents of Hoover, Vestavia hills, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena and other cities throughout this Alabama county. If you live in this area and need a little help this holiday season, this is the list you need to see.

Tuscaloosa County

Residents of Tuscaloosa, Northport, Moundville, Lake View, Brookwood, Coaling, Vance and other cities within Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, may be able to get help. Here’s the list of all the agencies we found in Tuscaloosa County.

Walker County

Walker County includes Jasper, Sumiton, Cordova, Dora, Carbon Hill and many other towns and neighborhoods. If you live in this area and need holiday help, then this is the list you’re looking for.
