You could get Iowa home repair grants!

You might be able to use the USDA to get Iowa home repair grants. The USDA offers a grant program to people who live in rural housing. You might be able to qualify for it if you live in an area they consider rural and meet their guidelines. You could get up to $7,500 to apply to your home repair project.

The Iowa weatherization program is available for people who are low-income and need energy efficiency upgrades. If your home needs new insulation, flooring or even a heating system, you might be able to get help through this program. You’ll need to meet their income guidelines and other rules to qualify for home repair assistance through the weatherization program.

If you’re entitled to VA benefits, you could get help with the VA-backed home repair loan. This loan could make it easier for you to make upgrades to your home and to make it safer. Veterans who are disabled as a result of service injuries may be entitled to more assistance through the VA for home repairs or accessibility modifications.

Property tax relief is available in Iowa!

The Iowa Consumer Protection Agency might be able to help you with foreclosure. If you’re in a bad mortgage or if you’ve used illegitimate foreclosure relief options, you might have protection through the agency. You might also be able to get help with foreclosure relief resources.

If you’re in Waterloo, you might be able to get help through Operation Threshold. The organization works with low-income individuals and families to help them become more self-sufficient. If home repairs or an unsafe home are holding you back, you might be able to get help with them.

Dubuque County

The Dubuque Home Rehabilitation loan might be able to help you. The loan is available for people who qualify in amounts up to $25,000. This loan can be used for a variety of repair and upgrade projects to make your home safer or more livable. You might also be able to use the home repair loan. This loan comes with 0% interest and easy financing terms. It comes in amounts up to $5,000 for people who qualify.

Dubuque also offers accessibility loans. If you’re disabled, you can use this loan to make your home more accessible. Accessibility loans through Dubuque are forgivable.

Johnson County

Do you need Iowa home repair grants in Iowa City? You might be able to get them through the CDBG. This could help you upgrade your home or make it safer. NFC offers up to $10,000 in repair loans. These loans are forgivable after five years and might make it easier for you to fix your home instead of using a traditional loan that comes with a higher interest rate.

The West Des Moines Metro Home Improvement Program might be able to help you. They offer owner-occupied housing assistance you could use to repair your home. In addition to needing to live in your home, you will have to meet their other requirements.

If your income is below 80% of the limit, you might be able to get Iowa home repair grants through Polk County. You can use these in addition to NFC and Metro housing assistance. The rehabilitation program can help you update your home to make it safer to live in as well as easier for you to live in!

Pottawattamie County

Are you in Council Bluffs and need Iowa home repair grants? You might be able to get help if you have an emergency home repair that you need! They offer an emergency home repair program that could help you if you have hazardous conditions in your home. This program could provide up to $2,500 toward your home repair project. You will need to meet their income and emergency repair requirements to qualify for the program.

Scott County

Davenport offers a housing rehabilitation loan. You can use this loan to help make your home safer to live in and more updated. It comes with lower interest rates than traditional loans and a longer period of time you can use to pay the loan back. You might also be able to use the loan if you have crucial systems that need changed in the home. In addition to the loan, Davenport offers the exterior accessibility grant for people who are disabled and need to make their home more accessible.

Story County

Residents of Ames might be able to get help with a community development block grant. This is one of the Iowa home repair grants you can use to make a variety of updates and repairs to your home. Funding might not always be available with this grant and you’ll have to meet the qualifications to get approved for it when funding is available.

Woodbury County

Are you in Sioux City and need help with home repairs? You might be able to get help with a rehabilitation loan. The city also offers the CDBG to help people who might not be approved for the loan. There are emergency repair options you might be able to use that could help you update your home and save on expensive fixes. You’ll need to apply and qualify using the income and other guidelines!
