NY legal aid could help you.

Different programs in New York might make it easier for you to get help with civil cases. We found NY legal aid that could help you with things like housing laws, family law and other civil cases. If you have a criminal case, legal aid will usually not be able to help you, but a public defender might.

New York has legal aid resources available.

If you’re in New York, the Law Help NY program might make it easier for you to find NY legal aid. You could also get help learning more about your rights and your ability to get an affordable or free lawyer. The program helps people who are low-income and who meet other requirements they have in place. If Law Help NY is unable to help you connect directly with a pro bono attorney, they might be able to connect you with other organizations that could help. They might also be able to help you find an attorney who works on a sliding scale. 

Using the New York Legal Assistance Group, you might be able to get help finding a lawyer or finding the advice you need to help yourself when dealing with a civil legal matter. There are some lawyers who provide pro bono options to people who need help throughout the state. They might be able to provide you with full representation or they might be able to give you the advice you need to continue with your case.

The New York Courts Volunteer Lawyers might be able to help if you’re unrepresented. If you need NY legal aid, volunteer lawyers could provide you with helpful options and could even represent you through trial if you’re in need. They only provide help to people who have civil legal cases and people who are going through small claims court. They might not be able to take every case due to conflicts of interest or other problems. While the program focuses primarily in NYC, they might be able to provide help to people who are outside of the city.

Need some legal advice from a NY attorney?

If you’re unable to get NY legal aid or you’re unable to find the legal advice that might help you with your civil case, you could get help through Free Legal Answers in New York! The program could make it easier for you to find answers to common legal questions. It provides information on helpful civil case questions. The website is free for people to use. It provides accurate information through the bar-certified attorneys who work with the website.

Some NY law schools provide legal clinics.

The Albany Law School might be able to provide you with help through the legal clinics they offer. Their law students are able to answer most of the questions, but they do have bar-certified attorneys present to make sure the answers are all accurate. If you’re interested in the civil legal clinic, you will need to register ahead of time. It’s a free program, but spots can fill up quickly. They could also help you find NY legal aid options in your area.

The NYU law clinics might help you with the legal advice you need for your civil legal case. NYU law students have the legal clinics to help people learn more about the rights they have. There are different clinics available. They might make it easier for you to find civil legal help no matter what issues you’re dealing with.

You might be able to attend one of the Syracuse legal clinics through their law school. They host these clinics to help the community get access to the answers they need for simple civil legal cases. While you’re at the clinics, you might also have a chance to connect with attorneys.

If you’re in Brooklyn, you might be able to get help through the clinics with the Brooklyn Law School. While they have many options that might help you with a civil case, you could get help with the Safe Harbor Project. This is a project intended for survivors of domestic violence. It might make it easier for you to get advice and access to free attorneys. You might also be able to find help with housing laws relating to domestic violence situations. The clinic is run by law students, but it has bar-certified attorney backup.

You could get help through a New York volunteer law clinic!

The Monday Night Bar presented by the NYC Bar Association might help you with your legal questions. The clinic is one that NYC bar certified attorneys put on and it might help answer some of the questions you have about your civil legal case. You can attend the clinic if you’re low-income and you’re unrepresented by an attorney in New York City. The program might make it easier for you to get access to legal resources and answers to common questions people have for civil legal cases. It is a free program, but register for it since spots can fill up quickly. Resources are available to help you find NY legal aid.

Legal aid might help in your county.

If you qualify for NY legal aid, you might be able to get it through your county. In addition to the state resources that could help you, many counties in New York have legal aid options available for residents.

Albany County

The Legal Aid Society of Northeast New York might be able to help if you’re looking for NY legal aid in the Albany area. The program could help you find an attorney who is willing to provide their services for free. If the legal aid society is unable to provide you with a pro bono attorney, they might be able to help you with an attorney who works on a sliding fee schedule or one who provides lower fees for their services.

Albany County’s Bar Association might have information on attorneys in the county who provide help through pro bono legal representation or sliding fee schedules. If you’re looking for NY legal aid in Albany, the bar association is a great place to start since they have a listing of all attorneys in the county who are bar-certified!

Brooklyn County (King County)

If you’re in Brooklyn, you might be able to get help through the legal services division. This organization might be able to provide NY legal aid to people who are low-income in Brooklyn. They might be able to help you with your civil legal case. If you have a family law matter, you could get help. In addition, they might be able to help with a case relating to housing. Attorneys could even help with bankruptcy. You might be able to get help through their program.

The Brooklyn CAMBA legal services could help you if you’re low-income and unable to afford an attorney. Through their legal services program, you could find an attorney who works on a volunteer basis and provides their services free of charge. CAMBA might not be able to help you with every civil legal case, but they have resources they can provide you with if they’re unable to help you.

Delaware County

Are you in Mid New York? The Legal Aid Society of Mid New York could help you with a variety of assistance programs if you need civil legal aid services. The program might make it easier for you to find help through their volunteer attorneys. If they’re unable to help you, they have resources you could use. These might make it easier to learn more about NY legal aid state programs.

Erie County

The Erie County Bar Association provides resources to people who are looking for help with legal representation. If you’re in Erie County, you might be able to get help through one of the bar-certified attorneys who are listed in the directory and that could make it easier for you. The bar association does not provide any direct help to residents of Erie, but they might be able to help you find an attorney who can help.

The Buffalo Legal Aid Bureau might be able to help if you’re in Buffalo and you need assistance with your civil legal case. The bureau works with attorneys who provide legal services through volunteer work. You will need to qualify for help using your income and residency status. The program might also have other requirements you’ll need to meet to get help.

Jefferson County

Legal Services of Central NY could provide legal aid if you’re in Watertown or the surrounding areas. There are options available that might make it easier for you to find legal help and an attorney who can represent you. Legal services also works with attorneys volunteering their time to provide low-income residents with the options they need. The program might also be able to help if you’re in different civil legal situations and cannot afford representation on your own.

Monroe County

Monroe County’s bar association might be able to provide you with attorneys who participate in NY legal aid efforts. If you’re in Monroe County and in need of free legal services, the bar association is a great place to start. It has the attorneys who can help with pro bono services listed. You might also be able to find a listing of attorneys who provide less traditional options for payment.

The Rochester Empire Justice Center could help if you’re in need of legal assistance. If you need help with a civil legal case, the justice center could help you learn more about what your options are and whether you truly need an attorney. They also offer law clinics and times where attorneys might be able to provide help to unrepresented people.

If you’re in Rochester, the Legal Aid Society could provide help with attorney representation. There are attorneys who work with LAS that might be able to help you with their services for free.

Nassau County

The Nassau County Bar Association could help you locate an attorney who does pro bono work. The bar association does not provide direct help, but they do have a directory of attorneys who might be willing to do pro bono work. You can learn more about how to get in contact with those attorneys through the bar association.

New York County

The NYC Legal Aid Society might be able to help if you need NY legal aid. The program could make it easier for you to get civil legal help through their volunteer attorneys. If you are able to qualify with your income, you could get help through this program. They might also other have requirements you’ll need to satisfy.

NYC FACES could provide legal services to people who are low-income and need help with legal assistance. The organization works with people who need civil legal help and could provide them with volunteer attorneys who might be able to represent you in court.

The NYC Bar Association does not provide direct help to people who are in the city, but they might be able to provide you with the resources you need to get help with your civil legal issue. NYC’s bar association also has a directory of attorneys in the city who provide pro bono services. You can search for an attorney based on your civil legal case or by the borough you’re in.

New York County (More)

New York City’s bar justice center might be able to help you if you’re facing a civil legal case and unable to afford legal representation. The program provides attorney assistance and programs. They could help you find out if there’s an attorney in your area who could help you. You will need to qualify for the program by meeting their income guidelines and other requirements.

If you need legal help in NYC, you might be able to get it through the Open Hands Legal Services program. This program might make it possible to find legal representation even if you can’t afford a traditional attorney’s fees. Volunteer attorneys work with the organization and might be able to help with civil cases including bankruptcy and family court issues.

Onondaga County

The Onondaga County Bar Association has a directory listing of all attorneys who are bar-certified in the county. You might be able to find an attorney who offers pro bono services because they have a listing of the ones who do. Even if you’re unable to find services for free, the directory might make it easier for you to find an attorney who provides NY legal aid through their lower fees. The bar association doesn’t provide direct help to people who are low-income in the county, but their directory might make it easier for you to get help finding an attorney.

Steuben County

Legal Assistance of Western New York provides help in Steuben County and the surrounding counties that are located in the westernmost part of the state. You might be able to find NY legal aid through the legal assistance program. They work with local attorneys to provide low-income families and individuals with civil legal services. Attorneys could be available to help you with family law issues, bankruptcy law and so much more.

Suffolk County

The Bar Association in Suffolk County doesn’t provide direct assistance if you’re looking for a pro bono attorney, but they could still help. Their directory listing of attorneys who provide pro bono services or volunteer lawyer services could help you find the information you need. Even though attorneys might be listed as pro bono attorneys, it is not a guarantee they can represent every case.

Ulster County

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley might be able to provide you with NY legal aid if you’re in West Park or other areas of Ulster County. They might also have some support options for people who are in other counties but still within the Hudson Valley. Volunteer and and pro bono attorneys could help in most areas of civil law.

If you don’t know where to start when you’re looking for NY legal aid, the bar association is a great place to begin! While the state bar association does not provide direct help, they have a listing of attorneys. Attorneys are available throughout the state who provide pro bono services. You can also use this directory and break it down even further to look for an attorney who practices in your region or your county.

Do you think the ACLU could help with your case?

The ACLU does not regularly represent people. If you have an extreme case or if your rights were violated in a big way, you might be able to get help through the ACLU. Because they don’t normally represent people, they have resources you might be able to use to get the representation you need. The organization also has a list of rights you have and what you can do to protect your rights.
