As of this writing in June 2017, ALL of the Richland County Public Libraries are undergoing an extensive renovation to modernize their facilities and services. Some of the features discussed in this article will be available in the near future as these renovations are complete.

Guided and open lab sessions invite you to tinker, experiment and create with the amazing, state-of-the-art tools in the Makerspace. Makerspaces are also being added to the following locations: Ballentine, Blythewood, Southeast, St. Andrews

Create a stunning work of art in the Studio at Richland Library Sandhills! Draw, paint, sculpt and more in both guided and open studio art sessions.

Get a job with help from Richland County Public Library!

If you need help with your job search, Richland County Public Library can help! They can help you modify your resume, practice interview skills and find job listings. They have loads of online resources for job seekers, also!

Visit one-on-one with the career coaches in Business, Careers and Research Center. They also have an on-site Networking Center where you can participate in a professional webinar, virtual interview or meeting.

Job seekers can use any of the 18 dedicated computers for up to three hours at a time. You can also get one-on-one assistance with resumes, applications, interviews, career assessments, job search tools, networking strategies and online presence development (such as LinkedIn) and more. Classes, practice interviews, resume development classes, networking groups, resources and more are available on a scheduled basis.

Get FREE live online tutoring between 3pm and 11pm every day via Tutor.com. Tutoring is available for students between kindergarten and college.

EdVenture Children’s Museum includes a small Richland Library spot where you can check out books! The location includes a puppet stage, theater area, puzzles and books for children of all ages.

Disabled adults can receive special services, too.

Books to You delivers hand-selected books to homebound patrons who are at least 60 years old. Compassionate volunteers spend some time visiting and getting to know the customer during the delivery. To register for this service, please call (803) 929-3416 or email [email protected].

ADA Computers are available at Richland Library Main.
