money you can make from the drop app

What is the Drop App?

Drop is a rewarded shopping app, similar to Ibotta. Rewarded shopping apps are similar to store loyalty programs, except they work everywhere instead of at just one store. You can earn rewards for shopping almost anywhere!

How does Drop work?

It’s actually very simple. After you install the app, you can shop at retailers you love. As you shop, you’ll earn points. Drop tracks your purchases through the app, the Chrome extension, or by transactions on a linked card. Every 1,000 points you earn is equivalent to $1. Once you’ve accrued $25 in points, you can redeem it for a reward!

Who can use the Drop app?

Anybody in the United States or Canada can become a Dropper! You will need to provide your bank account or debit/credit card in order to use the service. Members must also verify their accounts with a valid phone number.

Drop does not provide any of your personal information to a third party.

Why should I use Drop?

Once you’ve accrued $25 worth of points, you can exchange your points for gift cards to popular retailers. As of this writing, rewards include gift cards to Groupon, iTunes, Applebees, Gap, Regal Cinemas, Dominos, Uber, Amazon, and even American Airlines.

You can browse the rewards at any time by installing the Drop app and clicking on the Rewards tab.

Drop for

There are several ways to make more money with Drop.

Drop has several ways that users can earn points – and more points mean more rewards, and more rewards means more money in your wallet.

As of this writing, there are three ways that you can earn points with Drop:

  • Games
  • Surveys
  • Shopping

Install and play games for points.

There are some serious point deals revolving around games. If you play games in your spare time, then you could actually earn money for playing games on your phone!

As of this writing, here are some of the games points options on the Drop app

  • 25,000 points for installing Rise of Kingdoms: Last Crusade and building a level 17 City Hall within 25 days
  • 20,000 points for installing King of Avalon and completing stronghold level 17
  • 12,000 points for installing Clone Evolution and collecting 1 golden hero.
  • 6,000 points for installing Billionare Casino Slots 777 and reaching level 101 in 30 days
  • 5.000 points for installing Golden Farm and reaching level 18 within 9 days.
  • 5,000 points for installing Coin Dozer and completing level 25

These games are free to play, so you have nothing to lose! Check back often for new games that are participating in this program. After all, this is an easy way to earn points without spending any money!

Remember to check for deadlines!

Some rewards are only available for a certain amount of time. For example, to get that 25,000 point bonus, you have to build that Level 17 City Hall within 25 days of installing the game. That’s $25 worth of points that will disappear on day 26.

Be mindful of the deadlines and keep track, so you don’t miss your goals.

Complete surveys for points.

Surveys are another way to earn points! If you’re bored waiting in line or have some other downtime, you can answer these surveys fairly quickly. Many are only a few questions long!

Complete the introductory survey right away.

When you first try to do surveys, you’ll only see a few options. One of them will be “Tell us about yourself to get surveys.” This option will give you 25 points, and unlock future surveys that are relevant to you. Be sure to watch out for the trick question, or you’ll be disqualified from future surveys!

Be honest during this introductory survey or you’ll set yourself up for failure later on. You can only earn points when you meet the target audience for a survey, so lying during the introductory survey will result in a lot of wasted time.

Once I completed this first survey, it unlocked many more that I could complete. Most of them were expected to take less than 5 minutes.

Sort surveys by highest point value.

Once you’ve completed the introductory survey, you’ll have the ability to sort other surveys by highest point value. After I completed mine, I had the option for a 12 minute survey that was worth 1,116 points! There were also several one and two minute surveys that were worth 250-300 points each.

Only complete surveys that are intended for you.

If you complete a survey but you don’t meet the target audience, you will receive partial points (or sometimes no points at all). Don’t waste your time on surveys that aren’t designed for you. Answer your questions honestly, and make sure that you’re completing surveys that are relevant to you.

Check back often for new surveys!

If you complete all the surveys that are available to you, be sure to check back often and see if more surveys are available. It’s an easy way to earn points without having to spend any money!

Check the app before you shop to earn points!

You can also earn points on products and services that you’re already paying for. Similar to Ibotta, the Drop app offers rewarded shopping benefits.

At the time of this writing, the Drop app is featuring a deal for 15 points per $1 spent at Sam’s Club. In order to get those points, you have to shop online through the Drop app. If you click into the rest of the shopping options, you can also get 50 points per $1 spent at Walmart, $10,000 points for subscribing to Disney+ and more!

Some retailers also offer discounts when you shop through Drop. For example, you can get 50% off and 30 points per $1 spent at Old Navy.

Watch for deals at stores you already use.

It’s not really saving money if you’re buying things you wouldn’t ordinarily buy. Make sure you’re watching for retailers and items that you ordinarily buy anyway to make the most of your Drop benefits.

Link all of your cards.

Don’t miss out points just because you used the wrong card at checkout! Link all of your credit and debit cards to the Drop app to ensure that you always get the points that you deserve.

Enable notifications so you don’t miss Flash Deals!

Flash Deals allow you to earn points online or in-store with your linked card. These deals are usually brands that are well-known and frequently used. You can find Flash Deals by clicking the “Deals” tab. If you enable push notifications on the app, you’ll always be notified about new Flash Deals!

Keep an eye on the fine print.

Sometimes, deals may have specific terms that have to be met. For example, a deal may have a minimum spending requirement or product exclusions. Make sure you review the “how it works” section on each deal to make sure that you are able to get those points!

Remember that refunds, exchanges, and cancellations do not earn points.

If you refund, exchange or cancel a purchase or reservation, you will not earn points for that transaction. A points adjustment will be posted to your account to correct any errors.

Use the browser extension to track your desktop/laptop purchases, too!

You don’t have to miss out on points just because you’re buying from a different browser. Install the Drop extension to make sure that you keep getting credit for your purchases, even if you’re not using your mobile device!

Refer friends for 5,000 points!

You can earn points for referring up to 10 friends to the Drop app. In order for you to receive the referral bonus, the new user must earn 1,000 points.
