Does Dominos Take EBT?

Does Dominos Take EBT?

Does Dominos take EBT? Yes, at 60 specific locations across the United States! If you are eligible for the exclusive Restaurant Meals Program, you can purchase hot pizza and other restaurant meals with your SNAP EBT benefits. That’s right; we’re talking about food benefits, not cash!

Hold on! Before you order your large pizza with extra cheese and all the toppings, there are a few things you need to know about how this program works and who is eligible for it. Otherwise, you may find yourself bitterly disappointed at the register.

Does Dominos take EBT?

Dominos takes EBT at 60 locations in California. It only works at specific locations, which are listed by address below for your convenience. These are the only Dominos locations that have been authorized to accept food stamps through the Restaurant Meals Program.

However, there is good news! Many other states are currently working toward launching their own versions of this program, which means that more locations may be added in the near future. If you love pizza, be sure to bookmark this page and check back for updates.

What can you buy with EBT at Dominos?

I’m not aware of any non-food items sold by Dominos, so you should be able to buy anything on the menu with your SNAP EBT benefits. These benefits are designed to help you purchase food, so they only work for edible food items. You can’t purchase merchandise or non-food items with your SNAP EBT benefits.

However, Dominos specializes in selling hot, delicious food. You should be able to use your EBT benefits to buy anything on the menu, including:

  • Pizzas
  • Chicken
  • Sandwiches
  • Pasta
  • Breads
  • Oven-Baked Dips
  • Desserts
  • Salads
  • Drinks
  • Extra sauces and seasonings

However, it’s important to remember that you won’t get any extra money through the RMP, so you’ll need to budget accordingly! Make sure to look for coupons and other discounts if you’re trying to stretch your benefits farther. Their mobile app, website Coupons tab, and promotional mailers are a great place to start when you’re looking for discounts.

Who can buy Dominos with EBT?

Dominos can only take EBT if you are eligible for the Restaurant Meals Program. In order to be eligible, all three of the following criteria must be true for you:

  1. You must live in a state with a Restaurant Meals Program.
  2. You must be unable to cook your own meals at home because you are elderly, homeless or disabled.
  3. You must purchase food from a restaurant that has been approved to take EBT.

If you meet all of these requirements, your caseworker should automatically enable your card to be used at participating restaurants. Sometimes, that’s a step that gets missed, though. If you believe that you are eligible but your card is declined, you may need to ask your caseworker to correct your file.

Which Dominos locations take EBT?

Since each and every location has to be independently approved by the government, it’s entirely possible for one Dominos to take EBT but not the one down the street. You have to make sure that you are visiting a restaurant that has been set up to process SNAP EBT payments.

To make this easier for you, you’ve organized a list of every single participating location across the United States. Our list is organized alphabetically by state, county and city to make it easy for you to find a Dominos that takes EBT near you.

Please view the following PDF for a list of exact addresses.

Why doesn’t every Dominos take EBT?

Currently, SNAP EBT is accepted at around 60 of all 6,571 Dominos Pizza locations nationwide. That’s a great start, but it’s still frustrating for people who don’t have access to this program.

There are many reasons why most locations are not set up to process EBT. The main reason is that the RMP is not authorized in all states yet, so not every restaurant has the option to participate. Even in areas where they can choose to join, some restaurant owners refuse because there is so much paperwork and monitoring involved. They may not think it’s worth it, or they may be overwhelmed at the process. There are a lot of reasons why business owners may choose not to participate.

How do I pay with EBT at Dominos?

You need to make sure that you visit the restaurant in person. You can pick up your order but you cannot pay with EBT if you order for delivery. In order to process the transaction, your card must be physically swiped in the store.

Once you arrive, the process is just like buying groceries at the grocery store or picking up a candy bar at a gas station. You just swipe your card in the terminal.

Before you leave, make sure you check your receipt. Dominos is not allowed to charge tax or gratuity on orders paid with EBT, so if you see those charges on your receipt you should dispute them right away. First, complain to the restaurant. If they don’t reverse the extra charges, then you can file a dispute by calling the number on the back of your EBT card.
