Hey how are you? I just found this website and I love it cant stop reading. My husband and I are both disabled. We get SSD and SSI. His FS decreased when I started getting benefits. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

Hi S.R., We edited your comment to protect your privacy. If you are both disabled, you definitely need to use the disability exemption to claim your out-of-pocket medical costs. This can make a big difference in your food stamps allotment. You can count a lot of things, including OTC medications, gas to get to appointments and more. There's a big section with a lot of information on that in this article. I hope this helps. -Riley
