You’re probably aware that the Clark County Library has plenty of books, magazines, and music available to borrow. But did you know you could get FREE access to unique items like framed artwork, video games, more? The sky is the limit with a membership to the Clark County Library! Read on below to learn what the library has to offer.

Decorate your Home or Office with Framed Art on Loan from the Clark County Library!

Are you in the market for classic decorations for your home or office? You can class up any room without busting the budget thanks to the Clark County Library’s framed art loan program. The library has a large collection of framed copies of famous artwork. The collection includes both classical and modern pieces.

You can borrow up to three pieces of art at any time. Each piece of art must be returned after 90 days. There is a $0.10 fine for each day the artwork is not returned on time.

Start your own Book Club with a Free Book Club Kit!

Are the current book clubs at your favorite Clark County Library branch not cutting it for you? Then just start your own! You can get a free book club kit from the Clark County Library! Gone are the days when your group of friends each has to buy a copy of the book you want to discuss. Every library kit has 12 copies of a single book. In addition, the kits include a discussion guide and tip sheet. Want to hold your book club at the library? You can book a meeting room by calling 937-328-6907. Kits are kept at the main library. You can request new kits by e-mailing the library at [email protected].

Kits are first come, first served. You can keep up to two kits a time for a period of 6 weeks. The library will fine you $0.10 per day that the kit is not returned.

Who needs GameFly or Redbox when you have a Clark County Library card? Every branch of the Clark County Library keeps in stock new and popular video games available for check out! The library collection covers games for XboxOne, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii and WiiU. With your library card, you can check out up to two video games at any time. You must return the games after 1 week. There is a $1 late fee for each day a game is not returned.

The Clark County Library has arrangements with some of the best digital media services in the country. With your library card, you can get access to free downloads of music, movies, eBooks, and so much more.

Hoopla

Hoopla is a popular digital streaming service that markets directly to libraries. Hoopla hosts eBooks, audio books, movies, and music. You can get access to thousands of titles on your PC or mobile device. With the Hoopla app, you can download your favorite titles and use them even without internet access. The Ohio Digital Library

The Ohio Digital Library is an enormous digital resource consisting of eBooks, audiobooks, videos, and newspapers. Funded by the State of Ohio, this library is administered by OverDrive. You can enjoy your favorite titles on Kindles, tables, smartphones, and computers. Streaming is easy with OverDrive’s app, Libby.

Kanopy

Kanopy is a video streaming service unlike any other. The service hosts 30,000 documentaries, independent films, and classic cinema. It also has a large collection of kid’s content. Looking for fun, FREE entertainment for the whole family? The Clark County Library has you covered! With events nearly every day of the week, the library has a wide selection of fun activities. Adults can enjoy a book discussion with the Read This Book Club. Parents of babies and toddlers can enjoy stories, music, and crafts with story time at the main library branch. And teens can take in movies or anime most afternoons at the main library branch. You can keep up with all of the programs and events with the library’s online calendar.
