Back to School Bash is an annual event hosted by the Saginaw Valley Community Church. Children receive free backpacks, school supplies, food and fun activities at this event. In 2017, they will be providing supplies for the first 100 kids on Saturday, August 26th between 6pm and 8pm.
Charity Music of Michigan, Inc. provides no-risk music instrument loans to low income and at-risk youth throughout the state of Michigan! This agency also provides entry-level start up music programs for low income schools who couldn’t otherwise afford music programs.
Do All Inc. provides school supplies through the Community Educational Treasure Chest. Eligible students may be able to receive backpacks, notebooks, paper, pens, pencils, markers, glue and other necessities. This agency may also be able to assist with car seats, coats, vision care, diapers, beds, food and clothing!
Great Lakes Bay Kids Fest is an annual event that takes place in August. This event distributes free hot dogs, popcorn and school supplies while supplies last. In 2017, they provided supplies for the first 500 kids who arrived. Inflatables, STEM activities, entertainment, music, crafts, games and prizes are also available.
Midland First United Methodist Church helps approximately 100 Midland County students per year with backpacks and supplies. The items are distributed in mid-to-late August.
Samaritas Community Center hosts an annual Back to School Healthy Kids Fair every August. The event provided 100 backpacks filled with school supplies in 2017. All Saginaw residents can receive free teeth cleaning, free food giveaway and more.
School is Cool is an annual event that features fun for teh entire family! Dance shows, clowns, face painting, ice cream, games, bounce houses and more are all available on-site. Free backpacks and school supplies are given away while supplies last!

United Way of Bay County assists hundreds of Bay County students every year with backpacks, school supplies and school wardrobes. In 2017, they distributed 1,200 backpacks and wardrobes to over 700 kids!
