If you have food stamps in Massachusetts, your EBT card can give you free admission to over a hundred incredible destinations and performances through the EBT Card to Culture program. KO Theater Works Inc. (Amherst) – $10 tickets

The KO Festival of Performance features five weeks of performances and three workshops. According to the Card to Culture website, KO Theater offers two $10 tickets to each MA food stamps cardholder.

Andover Choral Society (Andover) – $5 Tickets

The Chorus performs two concerts per year. You can get up to four tickets for just $5 each with your MA food stamps card!

Cabot Performing Arts Center (Beverly) – $5 Tickets

The Cabot provides $5 movie tickets for guests with MA food stamps or WIC cards. Children 12 and under are completely free!

A Far Cry (Boston) – $5 Tickets

The Grammy-nominated string orchestra known as A Far Cry offers $5 concert tickets to patrons with a MA food stamps card!

Ashmont Hill Chamber Music (Boston) – $10 per family

AHCM builds community through affordable, intimate concerts. For more information, please visit their website. 

Boston Ballet (Boston) – $25 per person

The Boston Ballet provides a limited number of discounted seats for MA food stamps cardholders. With your EBT card, you can reserve up to four seats at $25 per person. The Ballet recommends calling the Box Office early on the day you wish to attend. You must pick up your tickets in person at the Boston Opera House two hours prior to the performance. It is important to remember that you must pay cash for these tickets.

Boston Baroque (Boston) – $5 Tickets

Hailed as “one of the world’s premier period-instrument bands” by Fanfare Magazine, Boston Baroque invites low income guests to see performances for just $5 per ticket. Use the code EBT for online checkout or order tickets over the phone. If you call in, you can have handling fees waived.

Boston Choral Ensemble (Boston) – FREE

According to the Card to Culture website, the Boston Choral Ensemble offers free general admission to anyone with a MA food stamps card and their immediate household.

Boston Children’s Theatre (Boston) – $2 per adult, children free

Anyone age 18 and under can attend Boston Children’s Theater performances free with a MA food stamps card. Adults are just $2! Even better, families with EBT cards can participate in one class or workshop each term for just $20!

Boston Civic Symphony (Boston) – FREE

The Boston Civic Symphony is the second oldest symphony orchestra in Boston. It presents the work of masters like Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms. You can receive up to four free tickets for Jordan Hall concerts with your MA food stamps card.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra (Boston) – FREE

Founded in 2001, the orchestra performs for thousands throughout the summer. Their summertime performances (July 19 – August 23) on Wednesdays at 7pm are free to guests with MA food stamps cards.

Boston Lyric Opera (Boston) – $30 tickets

Use the promo code BLOEBT to purchase up to four tickets at $30 each! These seats are limited to certain sections and productions.

Boston Philharmonic Orchestra (Boston) – FREE

Experience a passionate, energizing performance by the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra completely free with your MA food stamps card! Use the code FREE-BPO during your online checkout or over the phone to get your free tickets.

Boston Symphony Orchestra (Boston) – FREE 

Discounted tickets to the Boston Symphony Orchestra have been available for MA food stamp card holders. It is unclear if they will be available for the current season. However, you may obtain your tickets by calling SymphonyCharge at 888-266-1200 or by visiting the Box Office with your MA food stamps card. You can obtain four tickets per concert per card.

Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (Boston) – FREE

Some free admission tickets are available but must be claimed in advance. You will need to contact BYSO for more information. They also offer a number of totally free concerts throughout Boston each year.

Cantata Singers, Inc. (Boston) – $5 tickets

Each MA food stamps cardholder can obtain two $5 flat-rate tickets for each concert. The Singers base their performances on masterful works by Beethoven, Bach and more.

Chameleon Arts Ensemble of Boston (Boston) – FREE

Chameleon Arts mixes old and new repertoire into unexpected programs. They provide free family concerts. The EBT Card to Culture website indicates that they also offer free admission to the Chamber Music Series concerts (held at First Church in Boston) for families with MA food stamps.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (Boston) – FREE

Although Shakespeare in the Common is always free to attend, families with MA food stamps cards can also rent four free chairs! That’s a $20 savings! You will need to show your MA food stamps card at the chair rental tent.

Emmanuel Music (Boston) – FREE

From baroque to contemporary, Emmanuel Music showcases familiar and unfamiliar masterpieces. If you have a MA food stamps card, you can attend a concert for free!

Footlight Club (Boston) – $1 tickets

The oldest community theater in America invites low income patrons to visit for just $1 per ticket!

From the Top (Boston) – FREE

Young classically-trained musicians are celebrated through live events, broadcasts and arts programs provided by From the Top. This organization provides free admission for MA food stamps recipients and up to three additional family members.

Handel and Haydn Society (Boston) – $2 tickets

The Handel and Haydn Society provide historically-informed concerts using period instruments.

Huntington Theatre Company (Boston) – $20 tickets

Patrons with MA food stamps cards can receive a free membership in the Huntington Community Membership Initiative, which allows you to purchase tickets for just $20 each!

Lyric Stage Company of Boston (Boston) – $20 tickets 

Lyric Stage Company is a contemporary theater that aims to “reflect the states and backgrounds of 21st century Boston.” They offer $20 tickets to MA food stamps holders, according to Card to Culture.

New England Philharmonic (Boston) – FREE

The New England Philharmonic offers free tickets to Classics and Family concerts. If you have MA food stamps, you can reserve four tickets the Thursday prior to the performance via email ([email protected]) or by calling (617) 527-9717.

SpeakEasy Stage Company (Boston) – $20 tickets

EBT Card to Culture states that you can get $20 tickets to any performance with EBT Card to Culture!

Longwood Symphony Orchestra (Brighton) – 50% Discount

Longwood Symphony Orchestra focuses on the healing art of music. According to Card to Culture, the LSO features half price tickets for EBT Card to Culture participants.

American Repertory Theater (Cambridge) – $5 tickets

If you have EBT Card to Culture, you can purchase up to four ART tickets for just $5 each! This is a huge discount off of the standard $25 price. This discount is available for all ART season performances at the Loeb Drama Center. Tickets must be reserved in person.

Boston Chamber Music Society (Cambridge) – $8 per adult, children free

According to the Card to Culture website, BCMS invites MA food stamps cardholders to their exceptional performances for just $8 per adult. Children’s tickets are free!

Spectrum Singers (Cambridge) – FREE

Guests with EBT Card to Culture can receive two free tickets per concert. Tickets can be picked up at the door.

Apollinaire Theatre Company (Chelsea) – $10 tickets

According to the Card to Culture website, patrons with MA food stamps cards can purchase $10 tickets to ATC performances. Use the online code “ATCculturecard” and/or show your EBT card at the door.

Chester Theatre Company (Chester) – $10 tickets

The Chester Theatre Company is devoted to presenting contemporary plays. The Card to Culture website states they invite low income patrons to reserve discounted $10 tickets by calling the Box Office with the code EBT.

Radius Ensemble (Concord) – FREE

Radius Ensemble was named Boston’s Best Classical Ensemble 2016 by the Improper Bostonian. They’ve also won other awards. You can request two free tickets to each performance when you have a MA food stamps card!

Cotuit Center for the Arts (Cotuit) – $3 Off

Cotuit offers art exhibits, live theater, concerts, classes, workshops and more! If you have a MA food stamps card, the EBT Card to Culture website states that you can receive $3 off the general admission ticket price for all Center produced events.

Aston Magna Music Festival (Great Barrington) – $2 for adults, kids are free

The Aston Magna Music Festival is a Card to Culture Partner. If you show your MA food stamps card, then you can pay just $2 at the door for adult admission! Kids get in free.

Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center (Great Barrington) – $2 discount

If you have EBT Card to Culture, MPAC will waive the $2 facility restoration fee for your tickets!

South Shore Conservatory (Hingham) – FREE

Attend a concert at SSC for FREE! You can get two adult tickets and two children’s tickets for free per MA food stamps card.

Cape Symphony (Hyannis) – FREE

The Cape Symphony provides a performance that is both lively and fun. They offer free tickets through EBT Card to Culture! Just show your valid MA EBT card at the Cape Symphony Box Office or call (508) 362-1111 to claim your tickets.

Pops by the Sea (Hyannis) – FREE

For over 30 years, Pops by the Sea has been Cape Code’s single largest cultural event. The 2018 lineup includes the Boston Pops Orchestra, Aubrey Logan, DJ Senetti, Cape Harmony and Hyannis Sound. With a MA food stamps card, you and three other people can attend for FREE!

Shakespeare & Company (Lenox) – $5 tickets

With EBT Card to Culture, you can receive up to four $5 tickets to all performances. Reserve your tickets online, over the phone, or in person using the code “EBT.”

Indian Hill Music (Littleton) – 50% discount

The Orchestra of Indian Hill is the region’s premier professional orchestra. They offer a 50% discount for EBT cardholders, according to the Card to Culture website. The Indian Hill Music School also offers a free lesson day!

Boston Modern Orchestra Project (Malden) – 10% discount

With your MA food stamps card, you’ll receive a 10% discount on all ticketed events from the Boston Modern Orchestra Project!

Zeiterion Performing Arts Center (New Bedford) – $5 tickets

You can purchase $5 tickets with your MA food stamps card!

Boston Jewish Film Festival (Newton) – FREE

Check in at the BJFF desk with your MA food stamps card to receive free tickets to certain matinees during the November film festival. There is a limit of two free tickets per EBT card.

Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston (Newton) – $5 tickets

You can purchase up to four $5 tickets per MA food stamps card. Just enter the first six digits of your EBT card at checkout or call the box office for this special pricing.

Zamir Chorale of Boston (Newton) – FREE

Zamir Chorale of Boston celebrates Jewish culture through performances and musical events. Through the EBT Card to Culture program, you can get FREE admission to all concerts! Just select “EBT” under ticket type.

Barrington State Company (Pittsfield) – $5 Tickets

This award-winning theater in downtown Pittsfield invites low income guests to attend Mainstage, St. Germain and Youth Theater products for just $5 per ticket! There is a limit of four tickets per cardholder. You must purchase your tickets at the Box Office on the day of the event. Be sure to show your MA food stamps card to receive this discount!

Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra (Plymouth) – $10 Discount

You can get $10 off up to four tickets to regularly scheduled concerts.

Performance Project (Springfield) – $3-$5 tickets

All workshops are free. Tickets are $5 (for a $15 performance) or $3 (for a $10 performance).

Berkshire Theatre Group (Stockbridge) – $5 tickets

With EBT Card to Culture, two people can attend a Berkshire Theatre Group performance for just $5 each! The Berkshire Theatre Group has acclaimed performances in theater, dance, music and entertainment.

Greater Boston Stage Company (Stoneham)- $3 tickets 

You can reserve up to six $3 tickets per EBT card! Performances are limited to Greater Boston Stage Company Young Company and Mainstage productions. It cannot be used for special events.

Belmont World Film (Sudbury) – Half-Price Tickets

Through EBT Card to Culture, patrons with Massachusetts EBT cards can attend the Belmont World Film for $6. Students or Seniors with MA food stamps cards pay just $5! Tickets must be paid for in cash.

Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society (Martha’s Vineyard) – $2 discount

If you have a MA food stamps card, you can get $2 off the regular admission price for adults, seniors and children.

Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse (Martha’s Vineyard) – $20 tickets

The Playhouse features a selection of contemporary and classic plays, staged readings, workshops and premiers. With your EBT Card to Culture, you can purchase two tickets for $20 each.

Northampton Arts Council (Northampton) – FREE

The Northampton Arts Council generously provides free tickets to guests with EBT cards. EBT Cards for Culture states that they set aside 10% of their tickets for each performance for guests with EBT cards.

New Repertory Theatre (Watertown) – FREE

Once per production, your household can receive free admission for up to two adults and two children with your EBT Card to Culture card!

Images Cinema (Williamstown) – $5 tickets

Images Cinema is a community movie theater that shows independent, foreign and classic films. With EBT Card to Culture, you can get $5 adult tickets. Children 12 and younger are free.

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Williamstown) – $20 per person

You can purchase up to two $20 tickets per MA food stamps card! Contact the Box Office on or after June 1 for more information.

Worcester Chamber Music Society (Worcester) – $5 tickets

With your EBT card, you can purchase tickets for just $5 each!
