BookFlix provides classic video storybooks and nonfiction eBooks to help students learn to love reading. It’s ideal for students up to 3rd grade.

Flipster includes hundreds of magazines that you can view on your device!

Thanks to a generous partnership between the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society and the Central Arkansas Library System, 14 telescopes are available for check-out from CALS! All of them are 4.5″ Orion StarBlast Newtonian telescopes. They can magnify the sky up to 56 times!

To borrow one, you’ll need a valid Central Arkansas Library System card and you’ll also have to sign the Telescope Borrower Contract.

You can also check out Book Club KitsThese kits include 10 copies of a single book, one discussion guide and a handy canvas tote. An adult must check out the kit. There is a $100 replacement cost if the kit is not returned.

Laptops can be checked out but only for use within the library building. They cannot be taken outside the building.

Universal Class has more than 500 lifelong learning courses in over 30 different subjects! All classes are led by professional instructors and include videos, assignments, quizzes, tests and social media interaction.

The library offers on-site events for patrons of all ages!

Check the calendar and discover what’s happening at the library this week! Events include baby play time, story times, all ages art classes, family movie nights, cooking classes, games, knitting groups, coupon classes, magic shows and more!

Disabled patrons can receive home delivery.

If you are unable to leave home because of a permanent/temporary disability AND you reside in Pulaski or Perry County, you may be able to have books sent to you through the mail! You will need to have your application signed by a physician, nurse, social worker or library branch manager who can certify that you are disabled and homebound.
