Every other Wednesday, the center offers FREE nail trims for pets of senior citizens (65+) by appointment.

The MacDonald Veterinary Services is a full-service veterinary center that provides professional and courteous health care for your pet. They are committed to seeking the best medical, surgical, and dental care for animals. Services included are: wellness, diagnostic, preventative, and more. This center offers a wellness plan which allows pet owners to pay for the cost of treatment and/or services over the course of one-year rather than one lump sum. These plans are tailored case-by-case. This center also accepts the Plan B spay/neuter assistance certificate made available by the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food through the Animal Population Control Program. This certificate allows for those who financially qualify to receive discounts for spay/neuter services. Pet owners must complete an application as well as an income verification form, and provide additional copies for each animal. However, pet owners will only receive assistance for three animals over the span of five years.

NH Humane Society

The New Hampshire Humane Society is dedicated to providing responsible, advocative service for pets. They work to implement educational programs for the community to learn more about caring for their furry loved ones. Currently, this center provides access to the Lewyt Spay/Neuter program which is a FREE spay/neuter clinic made available to the public. All animals will receive a full physical exam, including checking for external parasites and treatment, as well as a nail trim and ear cleaning. Qualifications are as follows:

Cats & dogs between 3 months and 6 years.
Dogs cannot exceed 50 lbs, exceptions for some male breeds.
Cannot be a brachycephalic breed.
Provide access or proof of all current vaccinations, including rabies and distemper. However, this can be completed at no cost as well.
