Save Money on Alabama State Parks

Alabama State Parks make some of the most scenic and fun places in the state affordable and accessible. Whether you enjoy mountains or beaches, lakes or forests, caves or golf, hosting a family picnic or enjoying peace and solitude, you can find it at a state park.

The parks are designed to fit the budgets and lifestyles of all Alabamans, from rugged outdoors people to people interested in local history and from the young and athletic to the elderly or physically challenged.

Even better, state parks in Alabama offer a wide range of specials and discounts, ensuring that they will fit every budget.

Save on State Parks in another state!

Annual Passes are a great way to save on Alabama State Parks.

If you live near a state park, one of the best bargains is an annual pass. You can buy an annual family pass that admits up to four people, an individual pass, or if you are at least 62 years old, a senior pass that is less than half the price of a regular individual pass. As annual passes are only good for a single park, they offer the greatest savings for people who live close to a park and enjoy visiting it frequently.

Dirt Pass Trail Crew Program is a great once-a-month option.

Although the Dirt Pass Trail Crew Program is intended mainly to raise funds for trail improvements, it can also be a way to save money. For a $35 annual contribution, you gets a wristband that gives you free entrance to participating parks on the second Saturday of each month.

Veterans Discounts are available!

Alabama State Parks have several programs to reduce costs for veterans. Although these vary from year to year and park to park, they include deals such as free admissions over Veteran’s Day weekends and reduced cost admission and fishing licenses and free sightseeing through the Veterans Sponsorship Program at Gulf State Park.

Senior Discounts are available!

As well as making discounted annual passes available, most Alabama State Parks offer other senior discounts for people 62 years old and older. Many parks offer discounted daily admission fees as well as reduced camping, fishing, and activity fees on one or more days of the week. Call or visit the website of the park that interests you as special prices and discounts change over time.

Children are always cheaper!

Alabama State Parks make it easy for families to enjoy healthy fun by offering discounts on admission and activities. Babies and toddlers get free admission at most parks and children from the ages of 4 to 11 get reduced (usually half-price) admissions and activity fees.

Save even more money with specials!

Alabama State Parks offer different specials every month, ranging from camping to golf and cottage rental to general admissions. Visit Alabama State Parks Specials for the latest deals.
