Fireworks, barbecues, and… freebies? Yes, you read that right! This Fourth of July, you can snag a ton of free stuff to make your celebration even more spectacular. Here are our favorites.

  • Free Donuts from Krispy Kreme: Every year, Krispy Kreme provides a free Original Glazed® donut to guests who wear red, white and blue. This offer is only valid on July 4th and there is a limit of 1 free donut per person.
  • Free Printed U.S. Constitution & Declaration of Independence: Celebrate the Fourth by picking up free printed copies of these founding documents from Hillsdale College. Order yours online today! Check with historical societies, libraries, or government offices closer to the holiday for details on availability.
  • Free Sparklers: You can get a free pack of six 14 inch gold sparklers from Phantom Fireworks when you mention TXT1 at checkout! This is only valid in Phantom showrooms, not at temporary stands or tents.
  • Free Meals at Travel Centers of America: TravelCenters of America will provide free meals to active-duty, veterans and reservists on the Fourth of July. You’ll need to provide proof of service.
  • Free Admission to Blue Star Museums: Show your military ID at participating museums across the country for free admission for yourself and up to five family members from Armed Forces Day (May 18th) through Labor Day (September 2nd). This includes Independence Day! The Blue Star Museum program honors active duty, National Guard, and Reserve military personnel.

Free Things to Do

You may be able to score even more free stuff this Fourth of July depending on where you live. We’ve found some extra freebies that are available in certain cities across America.

  • New Hampshire: Enjoy a free picnic at Granite State Baptist Church in Concord. They’re serving hamburgers and hot dogs, and hosting a variety of games. The event takes place between 1pm and 4pm.
  • New York: You could score free tickets to see Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks from Hudson River Park’s Pier 45 or Pier 84 in Manhattan! There are 10,000 free tickets available. These tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on the event website.
  • Oklahoma: Yukon Public Schools is giving away free books to children and families on Independence Day. You can pick one up at Shedeck Elementary between 11am and 1pm.
  • Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania state parks are hosting a fish-for-free day on July 4. You can fish without a license on state waterways. You may even be able to borrow the equipment you need!
  • Virginia: Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission to their Historic Area and Art Museums on July 4. Guests with EBT cards can always get admission for just $3 per person through their EBT discount program.
  • Washington DC: Washington DC residents can score a free Lyft home on July 4. The SoberRide program provides a free $15 code that can be used to get home. You must be at least 21 years old. The code must be claimed after 3pm on July 4th and must be used by 4am on July 5. Supplies are limited, and these codes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Claim yours on the Sober Ride website.

  • Baskin Robbins: Score $5 off a Polar Pizza Ice Cream Treat with the code FIREWORK.
  • Jimmy Johns: Score a BOGO Firecracker Wrap on July 4th only. You’ll need to sign in to Freaky Fast Rewards to get it.
  • Sizzler: Some sources report that Sizzler will offer a free unlimited salad bar with the purchase of any entree. This is not available in Utah, Idaho, or Puerto Rico locations.
