Amber Grants: $10,000 a Month for Female Entrepreneurs

If you’re a woman running or starting a small business, the Amber Grant is one of the most consistent grant opportunities out there, because it isn’t a once-a-year shot. It’s monthly.

    What Is the Amber Grant?

The Amber Grant is run by WomensNet, a program started in 1998 in memory of Amber Wigdahl, a young entrepreneur who passed away at 19 before she could pursue her own business dreams. Every year since, WomensNet has given away money to honor that dream on behalf of other women.

    How Much Money Is Available?

The program gives out at least $30,000 every month, split into three separate $10,000 grants awarded to women-owned businesses.

On top of the monthly grants, WomensNet also awards three $50,000 Year End Grants annually. To get this big end of year grant, you must have already received one of their smaller monthly grants.

    How Do You Apply?

This is the best part: one application covers everything. According to WomensNet, “submitting one application makes you instantly eligible for all grants related to your business.”

However, the applications for the Monthly Amber Grant and the Monthly Startup Grant expire at the end of the month in which you apply. You could still be selected for one of their 11 Business Category Grants, but the monthly ones expire.

The application itself asks about you and your business, and it’s designed to be simple rather than a long, formal grant proposal.

    When Are the Deadlines?

Because this runs monthly, there’s a new cutoff every month. As of this writing, the next cutoff for the $10,000 Amber Grant is September 30, 2026, with winners announced by the 21st of the following month.

If you miss one month’s deadline, you can simply apply again for the next cycle.

    Relief Recap

We covered this one because monthly grant cycles are rare, and this program gives women multiple chances a year instead of one all-or-nothing shot. For more cash grant options beyond small business funding, check out our roundup of real hardship grants.
