Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church offers Christmas help to families in need in the form of Christmas baskets. These baskets include Christmas gifts and toys for the entire family and food to create a special holiday dinner. Families must register with the church’s  giving tree program and baskets get delivered to needy families.

Salvation Army offers the Angel Tree program that connects families in need with sponsors who buy families gifts for Christmas. In addition, they offer a food pantry that distributes free bags of groceries and holiday dinner boxes filled with turkey or ham and all the traditional holiday fixings.

Skagit Valley Herald Christmas Fund offers the Sponsor A Family program for low-income families that cannot give gifts to their children on Christmas. A Sponsor buys families two toys for each child living in the home and enough food to feed the entire family a holiday meal.

The Forgotten Children’s Fund offers assistance for underprivileged children and their families who are not receiving help from public of charitable organizations. Families are selected based on need and are provided with three toys for each child in the home, 2 books, hats, gloves, socks, a stocking stuffed with toys, warm blankets, and food for a full Christmas dinner.

Toys For Tots accepts donations of new and unopened toys from community members to help give less fortunate children something to open on Christmas morning. Each family must register their children for the program using the request toys link on their website. Eligible children must be aged newborn to 16 years old to qualify.

Glad there is help for the holidays cause I need it on fixed once 842 got custody of my 2 and 3 year old grandkids the 3 year old had been through a lot and hasn't really had a Christmas and would love to give them both one
