The Air Force Aid Society assists Airmen and their families with basic living expenses, such as utility bills. They can also assist with medical/dental care, funeral expenses, respite care, auto repair, travel emergencies, disasters, and assistance to surviving dependents. Falcon Loans of up to $750 are also available.

Catholic Outreach Services


Catholic Outreach Services can help you with your utility bills! They can also assist with food, clothing and emergency housing for qualified applicants when funds are available.

Christians In Action, Inc. 

The Benevolence Office provides assistance with utilities, in addition to bus fares, clothing, rent, furniture and medical equipment, when funds are available.

Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes

This program provides emergency financial assistance to wouned veterans and families of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. This program can assist with utility bills, car payments, auto repair, mortgage or rent payments, groceries, baby formula, school supplies, school clothes, medical bills and other needs.

Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) 

This is Texas’ LIHEAP program. It assists with utility bills and may even help you replace your existing heating/cooling units! Qualifying applicants may receive up to $1,200 per year from this program.


Operation First Response 

Wounded active duty military members and disabled veterans may be able to receive assistance with utilities, rent, vehicle payments, groceries, clothing and more.

Texas National Guard Family Support Foundatio

The Emergency Assistance unit provides grants and loans who can assist with short-term living expenses such as utilities, rent, child care, food, auto repairs, medical/dental needs, financial education counseling and more.

Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars

Basic needs assistance is available to veterans, their dependents and/or unmarried surviving spouses. This program can assist with utilities, rent, mortgage payments, vehicle expenses, child care and some medical expenses.
