Feed your Kids an After-School Snack with the Grub Club!
Do you have ravenous kids ready to eat as soon as school lets out? The Shreve Memorial Library has a snack for you! Each Fall semester, the Shreve Memorial Library partners with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to provide kids a healthy meal after school.
Each school year, food is served for children under 18 each weekday afternoon at the North Caddo, Wallette, Mooringsport, and Higginbotham-Bryson Branches. You can check here to see what time the activities begin each day.
In addition to enriching children’s bodies, this program also enriches their minds. Along with the meal, the library also offers lessons in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Discussions also include life after school, healthy eating habits, and current events. These events typically begin in August or October and run through the end of the year.
