Please note that the best discounts are reserved for those who are West Virginia citizens. You will be required to prove your residency with a valid state ID in order to get the best discounts.

Save 50% on Off-Season Camping

Seniors can receive 50% off their campground rental fees! However, this rate is only available in the off-season that starts the day after Labor Day and ends four days before Memorial Day.

You can book your reservation online and use the promo code SENIORS50 at checkout to get this discount. Just remember that you will need to show your valid West Virginia ID that has your birthdate and address when you check-in. If you don’t have your ID with you, you will have to pay the full current camping rate instead.

Save 10% on All Lodging

If you are at least 60 years old, you can always enjoy a 10% discount on lodging at West Virginia State Parks. This includes campsites, cabins and lodge rooms! This is their best and most consistent senior discount.

However, there are some exclusions. Stonewall Resort State Park does not appear to honor any discounts of any kind. You also can’t stack this 10% discount with the 50% off-season camping discount. You have to choose one discount or the other.

Special Amenity Discounts

Some State Parks offer special amenities like massages, cupping, saunas and more. Seniors can usually score a few dollars off through the WV State Parks senior discount programs provided at those special parks.

Discounts for Military & Veterans

Save 15% on Greens Fees

Veterans who want to golf at the greens at Pipestem, Twin Falls or Cacapon Resort State Park can save 15% on the greens fees! You just need to show a valid military ID when you check in for your tee time.

However, there are some important exclusions. This offer is not valid at Stonewall Resort State Park, for example.

Save 10% on Lodging

Veterans who want to stay overnight at a West Virginia State Park can also enjoy great discounts! You can save 10% on all lodge rooms, cabins and campsites.

To use this discount, make an online reservation and use the online code VETS10 at checkout. Remember, you will need to show your ID at check-in or you will be required to pay the full cost.

Unfortunately, this discount is also not valid at Stonewall Resort State Park.

West Virginia State Parks also offer other discounts, too! If you aren’t a senior, veteran or active-duty servicemember, make sure to pay special attention to this section.

You must show your valid government ID at check-in or you will have to pay the best available standard room rate instead. Don’t forget your ID!

It’s important to remember that this discount is also only available on standard lodge rooms. It cannot be combined with any other offers and is only valid if you’re travelling for business reasons.
