Arkansas is one of the newest states where the Bridge Project is putting cash directly into the hands of pregnant residents, no strings attached.
Eligible participants can receive $20,250 in unrestricted cash over three years, and applications are open now.
What the Bridge Project Offers
Participants receive:
- $1,125 as a one-time prenatal stipend
- $750 per month for the first 15 months
- $375 per month for the remaining 21 months
That adds up to $20,250 in total support over three years.
The money is unrestricted, which means participants can decide how to spend it based on their family’s needs.
The Arkansas program has 300 spots available statewide, backed by a $6 million commitment from the Monarch Foundation and other philanthropic partners.
Who Qualifies
The Arkansas program has two separate eligibility tracks. You only need to qualify under one.
Cohort A: Young Adults
You may qualify if you:
- Are 18 to 22 years old
- Are 27 weeks pregnant or less
- Live in Arkansas
- Have an annual household income of $44,000 or less
Cohort B: Current & Former Service Members
You may qualify if you:
- Are 18 years old or older
- Are 27 weeks pregnant or less
- Live in Arkansas
- Currently serve or previously served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard or Reserves
- Have an annual household income under $44,000, excluding VA disability compensation and veterans’ benefits
The Bridge Project also says you do not need a Social Security number or ITIN to participate.

How to Apply

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and eligible applicants are selected through a lottery until all 300 program spots are filled.
This means the program is not first-come, first-served, and submitting an application does not guarantee that you’ll be selected.
Watch Out for Scams
The Bridge Project warns applicants to watch for scams.
The organization says it will never ask for your Social Security number and will not request bank information through a text message or email.
If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from the Bridge Project, verify it through the organization’s official website before providing personal or financial information.
