FREE Back to School Supplies in Prince George’s County, MD

Salvation Army, Prince George’s County will provide back to school supplies where possible to families in need. To get your free supplies, you must have a valid Maryland ID card, proof of income sources like a pay stub, DSS, or food stamp letter, proof of expenses like an electric, gas, oil, or water bill, and proof of residence. Not only do they provide school supplies, but also you can get free holiday assistance, free food, and assistance with your rent, utility, or water bill.

HOPE (Helping Other People through Empowerment) provides free school supplies and backpacks for children ages 5-10 years. Supplies are given on a first come, first serve basis.

Sowing Empowerment & Economic Development, Inc provides free clothing, school supplies, backpacks and more. They are located in Riverdale.

The Prince George Back to School Fair gives out as many backpacks as they can and also other school supplies. In 2017 they gave out 11,000 free backpacks.
