- Big-Box Stores: Stores like Walmart, Target, and similar retailers may accept EBT Cash at some locations. Not all of them accept EBT cash online or in every store location. - Discount Stores: Some dollar stores and discount stores may accept EBT Cash. This can be a good way to stretch your benefits on toiletries, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and other essentials.
- Pharmacies: Some pharmacy chains may accept EBT Cash for non-food basics like personal care items, over-the-counter medicine, first aid supplies, and hygiene products. Ask at the register before you shop.

Where You Cannot Use EBT Cash
EBT Cash is more flexible than SNAP, but it is not unlimited. Federal TANF rules require states to block TANF EBT transactions at:
- Liquor Stores: TANF cash benefits cannot be used in liquor stores.
- Casinos and Gambling Businesses: TANF cash benefits cannot be used at casinos, gambling casinos, or gaming establishments.
- Adult Entertainment Businesses: TANF cash benefits cannot be used at adult-oriented entertainment businesses.
Your state may have more rules than this. Some states restrict additional places or purchases.
