Need an extension or other adjustment on your bill?

Wise Electric does not disclose details about their bill extension and flexibility options on their website. However, they do say that they offer these adjustments on a case-by-case basis. You will need to reach out to the customer service department online or over the phone for options.

Helping Hand Energy Assistance Program can help with your bill.

The Wise Electric website indicates that this fund provides assistance to seniors, people with disabilities and others who can’t afford their utility bills. These funds are provided to local charitable agencies, so you’ll need to ask Wise Electric who to contact for these funds.

State programs can help Wise Electric members, too!

Texas offers federal and state assistance through the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP). This program integrates all LIHEAP-funded programs, such as weatherization, into one comprehensive program. Contact the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to see if you qualify for these programs!

Wise Electric customers get special benefits.

Although electric cooperatives are typically smaller than other big city suppliers, local energy cooperatives do have benefits! Cooperatives are non-profit entities, which means they aren’t trying to make as much money as possible from your energy use.

Capital Credits put money back in your pocket.

One of the primary benefits of using an electric cooperative is that you may be able to receive Capital Credits. If the cooperative receives more funding than it needs, the excess funds are distributed back to the members through capital credits. These funds may appear on your bill as a credit toward your account.
