Free Christmas Gifts In Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania!

Salvation Army Pottsville Corps offers their Christmas Holiday Assistance Program every year to all residents of Schuylkill County. The program allows all children age 12 and under to submit a wish list for three items under $50, and the Salvation Army will work to match those toys to those children. 

You will need to provide proof of income and proof that you are a resident of Schuylkill County to qualify. If you have any questions or need to get in touch with them, you can 570-622-5252, or email them. 

Salvation Army Tamaqua Corps also offers Christmas holiday assistance to residents of the Tamaqua or Panther Valley School Districts. The application period for each year is October 10-12 and there are no late signups. The Salvation Army distributes Christmas gifts through their Angel Tree program for Schuylkill County children in need ages 12 and under.

The Salvation Army requires proof of income and residency to participate. They now have a permanent office at 46 Maunch Chunk St. in Tamaqua. If you have any questions or need to contact them, you can reach them at 570-668-0410 or you can email them for more information. 

Schuylkill Community Action offers a small amount of Schuylkill families presents and clothing for Christmas, as well as a holiday meal with all the fixing and trimmings to make it special

Toys for Totsis a national organization that has a Schuylkill County chapter Tamaqua. Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys from local donors and matches them with needy children during Christmas time. To be eligible parents must provide a letter from a church, written proof of public aid, or proof of unemployment. 

The Christmas program is for children age 14 and under. Children with disabilities are eligible through age sixteen, and Toys for Tots will do their best to honor requests for toys that best fit with a child’s disability. Registration can be made online or at the Tamaqua Salvation Army. During the 2021 Christmas season, 4,874 toy were distributed to 817 children.

Free Christmas Meals in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania!

The Salvation Army Tamaqua Corps distributes Christmas food baskets each year to low income families within Tamaqua or Panther Valley School Districts. Food baskets are distributed at the Tamaqua location. Proof of residency and income is required to participate.
