The Davisville Free Library offers a steady schedule of fun events designed to appeal to a wide array of age groups. Check out the Library Upcoming Events page to check out what’s coming up soon. Some of the monthly events offered the library include:
Second Saturdays Author Series – The Second Saturdays Author Series meet on the second Saturday of each month. The library plays host to authors from across the state and region for book discussions and signings.
Cozy Craft Night – Cozy Craft Night is scheduled every Wednesday from 6-7pm. Crafters are welcome to bring their own projects. Knitting and crocheting instructors are available and refreshments are provided.
Children’s Story Time – The Davisville Free Library hosts children’s story time Mondays and Fridays at 10 A.M. each week, as well as an additional story time on the second Saturday of the month. Geared towards children aged 18 months to 5 years, storytime includes songs, reading, and crafts. The library also offers Sensory Story Time every Monday, which is designed to make story time more accessible to children with special needs. Pages to Popcorn Book Club – The Pages to Popcorn Book Club seeks to answer the age-old question: “Which is better – the book or the movie?“ The goal of the club is for members to read a book, view the movie adaption together at the monthly gathering, and discuss which adaptation was better. The club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm.
