First Baptist Church Bentonville works with local schools to invite low-income and working poor families to their annual Christmas Toy Giveaway. The church members buy and wrap the gifts which get distributed to children at the event. They also offer a Clothing Giveaway every year during the first week of August, providing clothes to all ages and genders.

Salvation Army created several assistance programs for less fortunate families during the holidays and those who need help all year-long. They offer the Angel Tree program, connecting families in need with sponsors who buy Christmas presents from the families wish list and deliver them just before Christmas. They also offer the food pantry for free bags of groceries, Christmas dinner boxes filled with a turkey or ham and all the holiday fixings, a soup kitchen serving hot meals daily, and special holiday meals on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. To qualify for their programs, applicants must have a social security card for everyone living in the home, have a valid form of identification, have proof of income and expenses, and have at least one child aged newborn to 12 years old living in their home full-time.

Sharing and Caring Of Benton offers their Sponsor A Child program where families in need receive toys and gifts from their sponsors. Sponsors buy items from a wish list provided by the family and deliver the items a few days before Christmas.

Toys For Tots receives new, unopened toys from community members, organizations, and charities to provide children of low-income families with Christmas gifts during the holiday season. They bring these toys to the children just before holidays, allowing every child to find a gift under the tree. Parents must register their children for the program by clicking on the request toys link on their website and filling out the form. Applicants must have a social security card or birth certificate for everyone living in the home, proof of income and household expenses, a valid form of identification, and at least one child aged infant to 12 years old living in the home full time.

Two Hands offers families in need with a way to communicate their needs to members of the community who want to help them. Families can post their Christmas wish lists, financial needs, household items, and more, and community members will provide the families with the items at their earliest convenience. Helping Hands Inc. offers several assistance programs for families living in Benton County. They offer emergency food services, offering free bags of groceries to feed the entire family for up to 3 days and help with paying utility bills, rent or mortgage, and referrals for other organizations.

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry invites all families in need of food during a hard time to their food pantry. Families will receive free bags of groceries once per month containing canned and dry foods, meats, frozen goods, and fresh produce.

I have a question, one of my grandsons comes every weekend and spends the summer with us. His dad, my son, lives with me. We live in Bentonville, but my grandson lives his mother Washburn Missouri. So is he eligible for help.I just don't have the money to buy Christmas gifts for him. Thank you.
