Get FREE Christmas Gifts and Food in Oregon!

If you’re looking for free Christmas gifts in Oregon, you need to contact the organizations on this list! We’re constantly looking for new low income assistance programs and whenever we spot an organization that offers holiday help in Oregon, we add it to this list.

After all, we know firsthand what it’s like to be unable to provide a quality holiday celebration for your family. When my husband was medically discharged from the Army, we couldn’t make ends meet. Holiday heroes from local charities like this saved the season for our young son not just once but twice! There’s no shame in needing a little help when you’re going through a hard time.

Our list is divided into two parts to help you find resources faster. In the first section, we’ll review big nationwide organizations like Salvation Army and Toys for Tots that may be able to help you. In the second section, we’ll look into more local programs that help people in your area.

Get Free Christmas Gifts in Oregon

No matter where you’re at in the state, there are some organizations that may be available to help you with free Christmas gifts and food in Oregon. While we’ve found many national agencies, a few stand out that provide help in most areas. These national assistance programs likely have a local branch you can visit for help!

Salvation Army

Using their Angel Tree program, the Salvation Army might be able to help you get free gifts and food in Oregon. They have other programs that may be able to help you enjoy a hot meal as well.

The programs work by allowing other people to choose which gifts to purchase from your child’s wish list. They can obtain the lists from “Angel Trees.” This program is especially helpful because it allows your child to make a wish list of specific things they want.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: The Salvation Army typically helps children and sometimes seniors through their Angel Tree programs. In areas that serve hot meals, typically anyone is eligible.

HOW TO GET HELP: You will need to register your child on the Salvation Army Angel Tree website. Some branches don’t accept online applications. If that’s the case in your area, you’ll need to contact the Salvation Army branch nearest to you.

Toys for Tots

The Toys for Tots initiative, managed by the Marine Corps Reserve, offers invaluable support to families facing financial difficulties during the holiday season. This program gathers new, unwrapped toys and ensures they reach children in need, providing them with the opportunity to experience the excitement of Christmas morning.

For parents in Oregon who may find it challenging to afford gifts, Toys for Tots is a compassionate and practical way to ensure their children enjoy the festive spirit with special presents to open, making the holidays memorable and joyful for the whole family.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Toys for Tots typically helps pre-teen children from low income families. The exact age limits may vary depending on your area, since this program is run by local partners.

HOW TO APPLY: It’s easy! Just go to the Toys for Tots website and click the Request a Toy button. You’ll be asked to select your state and county from the drop-down list so that you can be routed to the right agency.
